For a beach weekend, what could be better than spending a day relaxing on golden sands before returning to your luxury coastal cottage for a peaceful evening in? Or if a country retreat is more your thing, we have excellent properties located in some of the UK's most stunning landscapes and quaint hideaways surrounded by idyllic farmland.

Need some inspiration?

Here is a selection of some of our favourite properties and they are all still available for the May Bank holiday. Be quick though – they won’t be available for long!

Harwood Cottage is a recently renovated, period stone property which dates back over 200 years. It is situated in the village of Hovingham which is right on the fringe of the Howardian Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and provides a great base for exploring all of the area's walks (which you can find here). Harwood Cottage is only 17 miles from the historic city of York, and if the beach is calling then Scarborough is just 32 miles away.

A day out in York is certainly a must with so much to see and do. One favourite with the younger ones (and with the grown ups too!) is York’s Chocolate Story guided tour, unbeatable for any chocolate lover. Take a look at York's Chocolate Story website.
