Who remembers Fraggle Rock?
This year the classic 1980s TV show is celebrating its 35th anniversary!
Fraggle Rock was a live-action puppet show created by Jim Henson (of The Muppets) and followed the lives and adventures of a bunch of interesting characters who lived in underground caves on a place called 'Fraggle Rock'.
It may be hard to believe, but in January 2018 this well-know TV programme celebrates its 35-year anniversary since it first aired!
To celebrate, how do you feel about coming to stay on the real Fraggle Rock? True fans of the show will remember the opening credits and that picturesque lighthouse on the cliff that you glimpse as the camera pans around.
Did you know that the setting for 'Fraggle Rock' was actually St Mawes in Cornwall? The pretty little lighthouse that you see as the show opens is actually St. Anthony's Lighthouse, which sits perched on the cliffs at the very tip of Cornwall's beautiful Roseland peninsula looking out to sea.
With Rural Retreats you can stay in this stunning location at St. Anthony's Lighthouse and explore the incredible surrounding scenery for yourself. Sally Port cottage is a modern lighthouse keeper's cottage that comfortably accommodates four guests and comes complete with a little sun-trap patio and a great observation room from which to watch the sea.
The Roseland Heritage Coastline spans out around you, and the famous South West Coast Path passes really close to the property, so there will be endless walks to enjoy... Just watch out for those mischievous Fraggles during your wanderings!
