Second visit, a fantastic week. Gales, rain, sleet, hail made it an exciting and unusual week but enough sun to walk to Botallack and the Crown Mines on my 50th birthday. Cracking meal at the Tinners Arms, Zennar. Also had a great taste explosion at the Victoria Inn. Thanks for presenting the place so beautifully. The fog horn has been a wonderful, pretty constant companion which we'll rather miss. Heather's café in Pendeen is a heaven when you're walking on a stormy day. Our sixth Pendeen Lighthouse stay, but first at Argus Cottage. Beautiful views. The weather was varied from sunbathing on the beach to rain and strong winds! Fog horn, sounding good as ever, Lovely walking from Porthairno to Cape Cornwall (the 300 bus was very useful). Watched the Trinity House helicopter landing on Longships Lighthouse which was amazing. Geevar Tin Mine was very interesting as was Cape Cornwall Coastwatch station, definitely worth a visit. Best of all were two evenings watching large pods of dolphin's right outside the lighthouse for a couple of hours, lots of leaping - AMAZING. Also seen the seal, choughs, kestrel and lots of sea birds. Just stunning. N&M, Somerset
1 June 2013
A spectacular location - but you can see that already. So some trips to St Michael's Mount is a must - depending on the times, try and get a boat across early and walk back just as the Hoards Head over when the causeway opens. Walk down to Cape Cornwall is a must - allow 6-7 hours to have time to explore the mines and don't miss the one down a steep slope to the sea. All in all a wonderful few days. K&R, Surrey

We've got married since we last visited here in 2009. An Easter bank holiday has returned us after delicious dinner at the Gunners Head, cliff-top walks looking at Whales, no less an engrossing trip. We dream of this place and our first Friday fish and chips from St Just all year, so we'll be back again soon, whether here or next door, perhaps with friends in tow! TW, Bath

Our third visit to this cosy retreat. Clear blue skies and biting wind. Some magnificent walks and views up and down the Cornish coastline. Always a pleasure to return to the warmth and comfort of the cottage after daily treks. We are looking forward to next year's visit. Thanks. D&L, Liverpool

We couldn't make it last year so it's especially good to be back here in 2013. Another restful break (too short) in this lovely cosy, well cared for cottage. Thank you, we hope to be back soon. LH, Taunton

An amazing place, wonderful views and weather with gale force winds! Our one year old loves the fog horn, very impressed with the well supplied kitchen. A wonderful couple of days. D & I, Devon
