Our third visit and five nights this time! We love the solitude and spend most of our days just staring out at the sea. Amazing wildlife sightings which I have listed in the blue wildlife book. Mixed weather but one day warm enough to sit outside all day.

Wow, what a trip! A surprise for our 10 year anniversary and what a lovely place. Bank holiday weather was blue sky all the way. We walked to Driftwood for dinner - two and a half hours, wonderful food and service. Walk/ferry to St Mawes and a chilled day watching the boats, seals and canoes in the sunshine. Lovely memories of a special occasion.

Such a lovely stay here in the cottage and experienced all the weather elements (bar snow). So saw the sea in its every changing states. Had lovely lunch at the Hidden Hut in the sunshine. Caught the ferry 'float & park' to Falmouth and seen loads of wildlife. Fantastic holiday.

Lovely well equipped cottage. Arrived on a rainy evening with foghorn blaring! Saw the seal swimming around and enjoyed observing cormorant rock. The wildlife really made the holiday and it was fantastic to stay in a lighthouse. Eden project a great day out - what an experience just to watch the sea everyday - helicopter rescues as well!!

Thank you for a lovely holiday venue. Crab, lobster and monk fish from the farm shop were super. Lovely walk along the coast to the 'hidden hut' for an equally nice meal. Weather was mixed but did not spoil the holiday. Thank you for the welcome pack and perfectly presented cottage.

Why go abroad when you see everything here? Beautiful cottage, amazing views - saw Sammy everyday and heard the fog horn. Our 76 & 77 year old parents loved it and were running up and down the hill! We will definitely come again.

Sammy appeared as soon as we arrived, an auspicious sign! We saw him a number of times over the weekend. On the Sunday evening we also saw a smaller seal sleeping on the rocks. The weather was surprisingly misty for time of year but the earplugs worked :) However, the beautiful surroundings and tranquillity meant we thoroughly enjoyed each hour of every day; there is just so much to see and take in - even Peregrine Falcons!!

Had a fantastic week - saw Sammy (Samantha : Samuel) every night bar two. Got soaked and sunburned on consecutive days! Watched the HMS Argus being piloted into Falmouth and a Saga cruise ship - less exciting. Planning a return trip already.

Very beautiful! We had fairly good weather, especially the end of the week, so lots of beautiful views from the terrace and nice sunny days visiting St Mawes, Falmouth by boat etc. The house is very lovely, clean and nice interior. We especially liked the couch! Lovely location and would love to come again.

Absolutely fantastic. We've seen Sammy. Caught a dogfish, had the foghorn go off. I saw some of the Fraggles. (My wife said it was too much wine!) A fantastic location to get away from it all. Loved every minute.

Wonderful birthday treat. Glorious afternoon in the garden - a real bonus for March - and many happy hour's spend in the observation room, which is a wonderful addition to this delightful cottage. Sammy the seal didn't move in three days. We think he might be a lobster pot float! However, the bird-life more than made up for that.

Great to be back in Roseland after a few years absence. Our first visit to Sally Port Cottage and its spectacular location. Lucky with the weather although a little blustery at times. Seals spotted several times at different times of the day. Fog horn a few times but not prolonged. A most enjoyable break and I am sure we will return. SM, Hampshire

We have had a lovely time here and it was very relaxing despite hearing the fog horn in the middle of the night! We loved watching the boats go past and even got to see Sammy the seal a couple of times. The cottage is really cosy and would recommend the circular walk around St Anthony. The W's, Sutton Coldfield

We have stayed in many remote places, this is a fantastic place and base to stay. We saw all weather, which was great snug in the observation room seeing the mist come in and the fog horn sound. The welcome hamper included all essentials needed to keep us going, On our last night we saw a seal about but only for a few seconds. The Eden project and St Michael's Mount were great days out. V&M, Kent

We have been coming to Sally Port since 2000, always late October or March/April and we always have amazing weather. Had to buy sun cream this week with 3 brilliantly warm, sunny days and the others cloudy but still mild. Hopefully will return next year. Can't wait. SH, Lincolnshire

We have visited Falmouth for 30 years and looked to the lighthouse. But this year we have looked from here to Pendennis - what a treat! Sally Port Cottage is the perfect place and the fog horn alarm clock first morning made the day. Watching the coming and going of the ships and identifying them. Thank you to all involved in the holiday cottage. CS, Derbyshire
8 February 2014
A bird watchers delight. All seen from wither the observation room or on a gentle walk to Portscatho. Was also delighted to see a bunch of seals midway between St Anthony's and Portscatho gently sunning themselves on the beach. We've really loved our time here and hope to be back again. Thank you. We are local people having moved down from Cambridge some years ago. It has been an ambition of my partners to stay at this lighthouse. The cottage was warm and comfortable, very well equipped and we had a super time. This weekend we has violent storms, heavy rain and the fig horn! Just fantastic. KP, Falmouth
4 January 2014
Once again I had a wonderful stay. Big thanks to the housekeepers for making me feel so welcome and for preparing everything in such a lovely way. I had 2 days of clear blue sky and sunshine. Felt very cosy in the observation room during a storm and enjoyed the fog horn two or three times. I became friends with a seagull who used to sit on the rock left of the observatory and like me seems to like to be by herself. Enjoyed walks around the peninsular, lots of sheep and stunning views not only along the cliff. Even though I love to spend my birthday in the unique, wonderful, beautiful place on my own, I hope I will return next year but not on my own with Mr Right. FE, Germany
