Sherborne village has an idyllic Cotswold setting in the Windrush valley between Burford and Stow-on-the-Wold. Some 4,000 acres of land surrounding the house is owned by the National Trust and the grounds used for the filming of Springwatch 2017.

Attractions and nearby amenities
- The estate has an abundance of wildlife including different species of deer, badgers, foxes, otters and water voles.
- There are some lovely walks throughout the park as well as a sculpture trail around the pleasure grounds.
- The estate is open all year round and the Lodge Park is open from March to November although it is occasionally closed for private functions.
- A short drive away you will discover the quintessential Cotswold villages of Bibury (with its famous Arlington Row), Barnsley, Coln St Aldwyns and The Barringtons which are host to some excellent local pubs and cafes.
- You will also find the bustling, market town of Northleach with a village shop, wine bar, bakery and the very popular pub, The Wheatsheaf Inn.
- The church is considered one of the most popular in the Cotswolds and is a beautiful, historic building to visit.
