The view 🤩 was stunning Communication throughout was amazing from RR and the house was great … clean and tidy - would definitely return
Fantastic stay in this beautiful house, with an amazing balcony and lakes views.
Wonderful facilities and very comfortable and warm for our New Years break. Excellent kitchen and superb balcony views.
Clean, spacious and quiet (heard nothing from neighbours)! Beautiful views over Ullswater with the sunrise in the morning. Comfortable beds and bedding. Great facilities - well equipped kitchen with a full sized fridge above and freezer below, an aga, a gas hob and a normal oven. Got a Sainsbury’s delivery to the property without issue. Our only problem was that the smaller bathroom’s shower had no hot water and the drains (only in that bathroom) didn’t smell great when we arrived - the lack of hot water in that bathroom was mentioned in a previous review and we assumed it had been fixed but it had not, hence we only had one usable shower (the larger en-suite bathroom) and not two as we had expected and advertised (hence losing one star in the rating). Towels smelled a bit like they hadn’t dried properly but not a huge issue and easily fixable. there is a washing machine, dried and dishwasher. The en-suite shower was great though. If you are okay with this, then I would definitely recommend this property. Lovely Christmas tree and welcome basket which were appreciated. Not too far from the A66, making it easy to get to other places. Two parking spaces. Would love to come back! We had a wonderful Christmas :-)
Absolutely lovely presented and location was perfect
Wonderful stay at Wreay Mansions - beautiful outlook over the lake and mountains; peaceful and comfortable accommodation. Unique place.
We had a perfect stay at Wreay Mansions. It suited our group of five adults and a two year old perfectly. We loved the large room at first floor level with balcony overlooking Ullswater and our granddaughter loved the space and being able to use the garden area. The house is warm and comfortable with an excellent large kitchen. We ate in some nights and tried the Brackenrigg pub down the road plus the Pooley Bridge Inn. The view from the balcony are still with us - it is gorgeous!
Great views and location, good size ,well equipped, spotless
superb property, fantastic views from balcony, very clean and comfortable. Would come again.
Stunning location, excellent views. Breakfast on the balcony each morning no matter what the weather is doing. Beautiful home well furnished with every thing you need.
The house was lovely if a bit old fashioned, the view was great and we had lovely weather so veranda was a real treat
The property was of good size and well appointed. Situated in a great location with fantastic views. The beds were very comfortable. The bathroom was large with nice appliances but needed redecorating. Unfortunately opening the bathroom window let in an unpleasant smell from the oil tank. There were no other windows in the bedroom to open. Overall a very good holiday
Lovely house, stunning views, clean and a great welcome hamper Thoroughly recommend
Beautiful location and wonderful house, however smelt a little damp upon arrival but once we got the heating on that improved. The instructions for the car parking are very confusing, they need to be updated to say the parking is on the lake side of the property and down the concrete road as there is some debate as to which is the back and which is the front of the property. It would also be helpful to say where the thermostat is located - took us ages to find it!
Wreay Mansions is a beautiful house with amazing views.... perhaps a little bit of modernisation is needed in the bathrooms! Also we needed to buy extra loo rolls ....not had to do that before, we have stayed many times. The beds are very comfortable and so is the sitting room furniture ..... the balcony is fantastic and although you have to take what you get..... we were extremely lucky with the weather. The welcome pack was really generous and much appreciated. We will return
Fabulous view of Ullswater from the balcony could do with some outdoor heaters in cold times. Inside is well designed and fantastic in a beautiful part of the Lake District. Some stunning National Trust Walks close by. Only one draw back the information we had in advance didn't tell us where to park we arrived in the dark and it was late so didn't find the information until breakfast. Was quite tricky to find in the dark also. Great place to stay.
This was a fantastic holiday property. The views were exceptional and the whole experience of staying in such a beautiful house was memorable. Particular mention must go to whoever put the welcome hamper together it was quite simply the best we have ever had. My only comment would be for the details of where to park to be put on the welcome joining instructions as we were unsure of where to park and had to ring the housekeeper. We did find instructions Laternext to the aga but I think if they want the joining instructions it would just save that little bit of confusion. We will definitely return
Superb property - great location. So comfortable with excellent facilities.
Fabulous property. The highlight was the great balcony - what a view!
Beautiful & very comfortable accommodation with stunning views across Lake Ullswater.
