13th Visit - Not unlucky for us!
Pretty good walking, worth 6 days out of seven. Some old Favourites ( Eldon Hill) and same new adventures! As ever, the cottage is everything we could want and Jackie is a fine hostess.
TIP! The SPAR a supermarket at Calves cross is definitely not a basic SPAR shop! It is like an up-market farm shop with lots of local stuff! Well worth stocking up. LASTLY AS EVER, DON'T MISS STELLA'S KITCHEN... you'll be sad if you do ! THANKS JACKIE! See you next year!

22 April 2018
Beautiful cottage just right for two, full of history but with a high spec finish, you get the charm without sacrificing comfort and convenience. The hamper of goodies was a great touch, spotlessly clean and beautifully presented. The house in the centre of the village, plenty of history to wander and just a short walk to the pub where we had a delicious meal one evening. Really lovely location and a thoroughly enjoyable weekend.

A beautiful cottage, just right for two. Full of history but with a high spec finish, you get the charm without sacrificing comfort and convenience. The hamper of goodies was a great touch meaning you didn't have to dash out to find the nearest shop as soon as you'd unpacked. There was even a cherry tart in the fridge! Spotlessly clean, beautifully presented, and we enjoyed the supply of board games! The house is in the centre of the village, plenty of history to wander and just a short walk to the pub where we had a delicious meal one evening. Really lovely location and a enjoyable weekend.
