A very pleasant stay in a lovely cottage. Good walks and views. Sculpture by the lakes at Pallington is an amazing place, go on a bright sunny day. Food at the Greyhound is excellent, just a few minutes walk and take the torch!

We loved the cottage and the beautiful village, it was a wonderful romantic Christmas for us. I wanted to take the log fire home with us - what an amazing fireplace! The Greyhound is a must - the food amazing and the complimentary first drink on Christmas morning a lovely touch. We will be back.

Only here for 2 nights, unfortunatley, but a perfect short retreat in Dorset. The cottage is near perfect and in such a beautiful village. We enjoyed a visit to Athelhampton House and had lunch at the Smugglers Inn, followed by coastal walks to Ringstead Bay. The latter was much more peaceful and unspoilt than Lulworth Cove, though the walk from the cove to Durdle Door was worthwhile. Thank you, we will be back. P&H, Berkshire

We have really enjoyed our stay in this cosy, cute little cottage in its beautiful village setting. It has gone too quickly. The wonderful sunshine all week has been lovely. We have visited Abbotsbury, Lulworth Cove, Durdle Door (and Fossil Forest) Corfe Castle and Linell Beach. Walked parts of the South West Coastal path around Osminter (Smugglers Inn at Osmington Mills enchanting!). Sherbourne and many walks and cycle rides around these areas from the door. We could recommend all of these places for visiting and the Greyhound Inn. Its good for food. A lovely, relaxing stay. A&K, Sheffield

A lovely little cottage and village. Walked over the Cerne Abbas though it took longer than it should have done. Went swimming at Seatown and Lyme Regis. Enjoyed Lyme Regis 1st Folk Festival. Thank you for a relaxing holiday. G&D, Suffolk

A wonderful location and a superb cottage - thank you very much indeed. Very comfortable beds. Sydling St Nicholas is charming. Lulworth Cove, Cerne Abbas all worth visiting. Good Waitrose in Dorchester. Loved the heather in the garden. A fabulour weekend. W&E, London

A lovely cottage for 2. Shame the weather meant that we could only enjoy the weather for a couple of days. Hive Beach cafe is a must, but get there early - nice potter around Abbotsbury and Sherbourne. West Bay nice for Broadchurch fans. Nice walks around Hardy's Cottage and Lulworth. Athelhampton worth a visit too midweek. Greyhound Inn, lovely, great food and lovely staff. A lovely part of the world for a respite and relax. A&N, London

We enjoyed the cosy cottage very much; especially when we returned tired from our daily tours. The coast walks were fantastic - Golden Cap - Lulworth Cove - Durdle Door. We recommend a visit to Minterne Magna (house and garden), nice walk from Cerne Abbas to Minterne. A must to the subtropical garden in Abbotsbury - View Point! Good food in Dorchester New Italian. G&W, Bavaria

A very enjoyable long weekend. Good location for exploring/walking the Jurassic Coast - Lulworth Cove (via Durdle Door) circular walk is highly recommended. Corfe is also worth a visit, had a meal at The Greyhound - good food a great service. T&L, Manchester

A lovely, cosy and inviting cittage. Got some great roaring fires going in the evenings. Lucky with the weather, mostly rained at night, so we had some good bike rides. Food at the Greyhound Inn as previously mentioned. All in all a great cottage in a lovely location. N&D, Devon
