East Burton Farmhouse holiday home details

East Burton Farmhouse is a delightful 17th century thatched cottage located down a quiet country lane just a mile away from the traditional Dorset village of Wool. The property boasts a spacious family room with wood burning stove and french doors leading outside to the garden; there's even an air hockey table for guests to enjoy whilst watching the 49" television. The bright well-equipped kitchen/breakfast room with its farmhouse table and chairs leads through to the family dining room with comfortable seating for eight guests. There is a cosy sitting room which leads through to a comfortable ground floor, dual aspect double bedroom.

On the first floor are three further bedrooms, the first with a king-size double bed. Accessed through the first bedroom is is an attractive twin bedroom suitable for children. Across the landing is the final bedroom with double bed and a family bathroom. Outside is an enclosed, large lawned garden with garden furniture through which the tiny Win River trickles. through.

The nearby village of Wool is a sizeable village on the River Frome, in the Purbeck area of south Dorset. It has its own village store, a bakery and a butchers shop, and there is excellent fishing in the area in the River Frome as well as various golf courses, bridleways, cycling and riding routes.

The Jurassic Coastline is home to over 300 coastal country walks, offering some breathtaking views over Dorset’s 200 million year old shoreline.
  • Kimmeridge Bay lies within a marine Special Area of Conservation and boasts the best rockpooling and safest snorkelling site in Dorset.
  • Spend a day at Ringstead Bay where you can take a walk across the cliff tops above, bring a kite, or pack a picnic to enjoy on the beach.
  • Situated in the heart of Thomas Hardy country, Lawrence of Arabia's grave and cottage, Bovington Tank Museum and Monkey World are on the doorstep of East Burton Farmhouse which are highlights within the local area, as are Corfe Castle, Swanage Bay, the steam railway and Arne RSPB Nature Reserve.
