Cozy comfortable fully equipped cottage in one of Dorset’s most beautiful villages. It was our third stay in Rose Cottage though first time since 2015. Less than ideal aspects were mainly the master bedroom’s bed (too narrow and soft and creaky for our taste) and the very early checkout time (9 am) on a weekend which meant we actually vacated the property the evening before, to avoid a mad rush after wake-up.
Wonderful cottage and location but the beds in the twin bedroom need attention. The slats that hold the bed together were broken - I ended up sleeping on the mattress on the floor. Very comfy and homely cottage - the kitchen was very good.
We are delighted that you enjoyed Rose Cottage but are only sorry that you did not let us know about the bed during your stay. The housekeeper could have come to the cottage and sorted everything for you - the bed was not actually broken and the slats had just popped out.
A beautiful,well-cared for cottage in lovely peaceful surroundings yet very conveniently situated for exploring this area of Dorset.Appreciated a wide range of good quality equipment and the welcome hamper, as well as the call from the housekeeper to check allwas well. Reported problem with upstairs shower, which did not cause inconvenience as the shower downstairs was fine.We really enjoyed our stay and applaud R.R. For the excellent high standard of their holiday properties.Very many thanks from the Harrison family.

LOVELY, everyone so friendly! A very special thank you to Rachel. She was always there with a smile when we needed her!
Set in lovely countryside, spacious, nice feeling, well appointed and quiet. (Except for the bells)
The cottage was terrific. The four stars are due to the poor weather (which you had no control over) and the considerable distance to any local shops. But the cottage itself is even better than the photos - comfortable, warm, spacious and situated in a beautiful village with plenty of walks from the front door, and a decent pub too.
A major problem - the twin beds both collapsed in the night - the slats are too small. The cottage needs stronger beds aand better mattresses

You won’t be asked to take daily tests or isolate following contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19. This means, if you would like to modify or cancel your booking due to Covid-19, our normal terms and conditions now apply.
If the restrictions are reintroduced and you are forced to cancel your holiday due to legal restrictions, please be rest assured that we will help you to move your booking within the same property, offer a voucher to be used within the same property within a year or cancel your booking in this instance and we will refund you the price you paid in full.
