We stayed here for a long weekend with our dog. The long driveway to the property sets the scene, you drive past the horses, sheep and donkeys and you know that you are somewhere truly peaceful. The cottage is stunning, everything is immaculate, the decor is luxurious. It looks just like in the pictures on the booking website We had an amazing hamper with milk, butter, jam, clotted cream, scones, bread, apple juice, coffee, wine. The 3 bedrooms are all beautiful, the beds were super comfortable, the master bedroom is gorgeous with the huge en-suite with heated flooring, you can look at the stars when you are having a bath. The log fire in the lounge is so cosy, you can curl up on the sofa and watch tv. The kitchen is fully equipped with washer/dryer, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, plenty of cutlery, utensils etc. The indoor pool is fantastic, the steam room was great, there is also a shower and toilet in the pool room. It was very clean. You are a ten minute walk from Northleach which has several good pubs that serve food. You are in an ideal spot to go and explore the Cotswolds. The garden being enclosed gave me peace of mind, my dog is very curious but she could wander about the garden and could not escape. Jim and Susie the owners were brilliant, very kind and thoughtful. Jim showed us how to use the steam room and even gave me a quick lesson in lighting the fire which i needed. We will definitely return.

5 star hotel standards including complementary tea and coffee and toiletries in every bathroom . The house was spotlessly clean including the pool and steam room. The welcome pack was just lovely and included fresh bread, home-made scones and all sorts of other treats. We used the open log fire everyday which made the lounge area cozy in the evening. Communcation from the owners was excellent. We would love to stay here again.

We stayed at Catton Abbey cottage for two weeks from the 1st of June. The cottage is beautiful well worth every penny we paid for it! It has a fully enclosed garden and patio (so perfect for the children). There are three bedrooms each with their own bathrooms. The master suite has a bathroom the size of a single bedroom, his and her sinks with a shower big enough for two and a large freestanding deep bath for long soaks. If you shower in the evening you can gaze at the stars through the double dormer window. Within a day or two of arriving my husband and I were both ill. We did a Waitrose shop online before we left home. We were very lucky as we couldn’t do any shopping for bread and milk et cetera for nearly a week. Susie and Jim (the owners who live next door) were so kind they texted every morning to see how we were and did we need anything; we couldn’t have managed without them. The swimming pool is amazing and the temperature was perfect. If you are contemplating this cottage for your holiday (Cotswolds are beautiful at this time of year) or even just for a relaxing long weekend we would wholeheartedly recommend it. A fantastic place to stay, both in facilities and location. Brilliant for families, an ideal place to come and relax for the week in all weathers. The cottage is well equipped, plenty of space, and has that relaxed Cotswolds feel to it. Great outside space, and although we visited in February, could still manage a few sits out in the sun when the wind abated. The pool was great, a safe environment for the kids to enjoy, plenty of room and useable 95% of the time. Situated very conveniently from lots of attractions, its only 30 mins drive to Cheltenham, Adam's Cotswolds Farm, Cotswolds Wildlife Park and Stowe. Northleach was a 15min walk, where the excellent Black Cat Cafe served up good tea, coffee and cake. Plenty of other ways are listed in the info pack in the cottage, so ideal for that as well. The owners are only next door too, so a request to have use of an airer was fulfilled almost instantly, so thank you for that. Despite a couple of heavy storms during our week, the cottage remained welcoming, warm and comfortable. Just what we needed. We will return at some point I'm sure.

We stayed for 3 nights and had the most wonderful, relaxed break with our young children. Cats Abbey is very well equipped with everything you need for a relaxing break away. The owners were extremely helpful, setting up stair gates and cot for our youngest prior to our arrival. The cottage is absolutely beautiful with a lovely well maintained garden which our boys enjoyed playing in. The views from the bedrooms are breathtaking and our little boys loved spotting the horses and other wildlife in the nearby fields. Access to the swimming pool via an indoor corridor was wonderful and it was a real luxury to come back and be able to snuggle up in front of a cosy fire. The owners have added lots of lovely touches to make the cottage feel very homely; lots of books, board games and DVDs and the welcome hamper including wine, bread, fresh scones and jam was just wonderful. Northleach is a charming little village nearby to lots of other villages and places of interest. We enjoyed a trip to Crocodiles of the World, Cotswold Wildlife Park as well as a visit to the nearby Burford and Bourton on the Water. We didn't want to leave and are hoping to return again next year.

Cats Abbey Cottage is a wonderful accommodation, the decor was lovely, very well maintained, facilities all the way from the kitchen to the books and games that were made available. The swimming pool and steam room were also freely available for us to use. The hosts were very helpful with the pre booking questions / information and made us feel very comfortable when we checked in, especially the welcome hamper which was very nice. The cottage location was perfect for a walk in to the countryside and returning to the village of Northleach, which included an excellent eatery called The Wheatsheaf and in the village a very cosy wine bar, both recommended. We also visited Bourton on the Water, Chedworth and Cirencester which were only a small drive away and all had plenty of places to visit and enjoy. We highly recommend Cats Abbey Cottage and the area within the Cotswolds it is situated.

We had a wonderful stay at Cats Abbey Cottage. Accommodation is spacious, clean and comfortable. The owners live on-site and are friendly and helpful but you never feel your privacy is invaded at all. Such a bonus having access to the pool and the welcome hamper was delicious! The property was easy to find, just a short distance from Northleach, down a pretty, tree-lined driveway. Such a lovely spot and within easy reach of all the main attractions the Cotswolds has to offer. We had a delicious lunch at the Wheatsheaf, but be prepared for the bill! We’d love to return to Cats Abbey Cottage one day.
