  • Bourton on the Water: A beautiful Cotswold village, with its own bird sanctuary, miniature model village, trout farm and perfumery
  • Upper & Lower Slaughter: Straddling the banks of the River Eye, also known as Slaughter Brook, the two villages have remained utterly unchanged for more than a century with no building work taking place at all since 1906.
  • Moreton-in-Marsh: A traditional Cotswold market town with Tuesday as its market day attracting people from far and wide to visit the stalls of this well-established market.
  • Chipping Campden: A small market town in the Cotswold notable for its elegant terraced high street dating from the 14th century
  • Stow-on-the-Wold: Stow on the wold is a small market town located on the Roman Fosseway with beautiful honey-coloured buildings, cosy pubs, tiny tearooms and narrow streets

Local Places to Visit:

  • Broadway Tower & Country Club: Situated just outside Broadway, Middle Hill, Broadway, WR12 7LB. The folly was built by the Earl of Coventry and the grounds hold an adventure playground, a collection of rare animals and a restaurant which is housed in a converted Cotswold barn.
  • Cotswold Wildlife Park: This beautiful park and house is situated just outside Burford on the Swindon Road, Broadway Grove, Burford, OX18 4JP. Large variety of wild life, insect and reptile house, aquariums, aviaries, adventure playground, miniature railway, picnic areas and restaurants. The house is open to the public.   • Dovers Hill, Chipping Campden: Owned by the National Trust, this has a superb view from which the Black Mountains in Wales can be seen on a clear day
  • Hidcote Manor: Located at Hidcote Bartrim, Chipping Campden, GL55 6LR. The finest gardens in the country are to be found just four miles outside Chipping Campden. Hidcote is owned by the National Trust. 01386 43833
  • Kifsgate Gardens: Situated next to Hidcote Manor, Chipping Campden, GL55 6LN and reputed to be one of its main rivals

  • Warwick. Warwick Castle One Thousand Years of Secrets. The castle is set in 60 acres of grounds, plenty to see and do. 01926 406611. The Warwick Doll Museum.   • Kenilworth Castle: View the Norman keep and Great Hall, beautiful reconstructed Tudor Gardens located at Castle Green, Kenilworth, CV8 1NE. 01926 852078.
  • Ragley Hall, Alcester, B49 5NJ: Set in 400 acres of parkland, contains Children’s Adventure Wood, 3D Maze, Stables, Carriage Collection, Woodland Walks and Lakeside picnic area. 01789 762090.
  • Stanway House: Privately owned house, five miles south of Broadway, GL54 5JD. 01386 584469.
