We stayed at this cottage for 2 nights for my partners birthday with our dog scruffy.
The cottage itself is perfectly designed, with traditional features with a contermporary twist. It literally has everything that you need. The owners are really friendly and get such a lovely vibe from them.
This our first time in Norfolk and would love to come back, everyone that passes says hello, the dogs are welcome everywhere even in restaurants at dinner time, something that we are just not used to.
I would like to say a big thankyou to the owners for decorating the cottage with balloons, banners, cake and even a birthday card, it really made it special.
Thanks again.

It's my husband's "surprise" Christmas present for me and when I saw the cottage for the first time, I fell in love with it straight away. Modern, cosy, clean, tidy and it has everything that I need. We had a great time staying here. Such a sham that the weather was not on our side this time but that makes us appreciate the warmness of the cottage even more. Thank you for making our break so special. I spotted The Maltings on-line and immediately knew it would be the perfect location for my girlfriend's birthday surprise. The fantastic hamper far exceeded our expectations, setting a trend for the rest of the property where the owners have clearly gone out of their way to ensure everything about our stay would be stress-free, relaxing and homely.
We have both had a wonderful break and re-charged our batteries, we are gutted to be leaving. We look forward to returning soon and would recommend it to anyone.

A great week spent balancing sightseeing and relaxing in this lovely Trunch treasure! Highlights were a wonderfully sunny morning at Wells-next-the-Sea, Blickling and Anne Boleyn's beautiful grounds. A fireside drink at the Vernon's Arms & Anniversary lunch at The Gunton Arms onlooked by the many deer on the estate! The sunset at Trimington beach was stunning and Bacton woods colours of late autumn, early winter were just breath-taking. No1 fish & chips at Cromer were the best we've had & Blakeney's crafts, galleries and pubs well worth a visit. Dogs welcome on the seal trips but unfortunately we missed the boat - literally! Thank you to Barbara and Roger for the generously stocked hamper and fridge and for the very thoughtful card and Cava! PS Arthur loved the treats!

We have had a wonderful stay at 'The Maltings'. The cottage is beautiful and the welcome hamper had some delicious local produce. We walked along Trimingham Beach which is dog friendly so they had a good run. We highly recommend the Vernon Arms pub in Southrepps. We had a lovely home cooked meal there. It was very busy so best to book ahead. We have had such an enjoyable stay and will be recommending the cottage to friends and family.

We have had a lovely week in Norfolk and in The Maltings. The weather was very variable but it didn't stop us walking or cycling. Visited two NT properties and went on the steam train from Aylsham to Wroxham, followed by a boat trip on the Broads. As other guests have said, a beautiful, well equipped cottage with a very generous hamper! Many thanks.

Thank you for the lovely card and welcome basket, we've had the most wonderful weekend celebrating our first wedding anniversary. The cottage is absolutely beautiful and is actually more equipped than our own house, so thank you. An extra bonus that we can bring our 5 month old lab (she has a crate and playpen for when unattended).
Thank you again for a wonderful stay, could not recommend more highly.

A brilliant few days away in a beautiful place (and pinching a couple of ideas!!). Just so lovely - we will return for longer (I am sure!). Such thoughtful touches and all the scenery/places have been really worth visiting. (Wood burner lovely but you were right Roger - the heat only with a few logs!!).

After reading all the comments from the other guests, what more can be said? This is a beautiful place to stay and we were very reluctant to actually go out for the day and visit this wonderful county; Cley, Wells, Holt, Cromer, Blakeney, Sandringham, Norwich and Felbrigg to name a few. The welcome hamper was exceptional and really unexpected. Our only complaint is we can't stay longer! A big thank you to our hosts, already planning to come again.

I need to know where you got it all! Thanks for everything!

This has been our first visit to Norfolk and we have enjoyed it very much. Staying here at "The Maltings" has been a delight. Everything you could want is here and very welcoming hosts. The welcome hamper was a lovely treat, and like your previous guests, quite the best we have ever had. A visit to Sandringham was beautiful. Blickling and Felbrigg Hall, both National Trust are worth a visit. The Foundry Arms, (Northrepps) have an excellent menu and very friendly staff, very recommendable. Thank you Roger and Barbara. Loved the roses!!

We were smiling before we opened the door!! Absolutely gorgeous place. We had a wonderful, relaxing time in this beautifully appointed cottage. Everything has been thought of. The welcoming hamper was exceptional, local produce and even treats for our little fury friend. Roger and Barbara very kind and helpful. We had a local power cut and everything they could do to help us, they did. We enjoyed visiting the beaches and local villages and towns and would recommend "Wells-next-the-Sea" - magnificent beach and great walks. We have had a fantastic holiday – many thanks for the warm welcome, especially the hamper! Wonderful
walks along footpaths full of wildlife and wild flowers are a real bonus. All the village churches are special but the but the angels in the roof of Knapton church are well worth seeing. Bacton Wood, Fairhaven Gardens, East Rushton Old Vicarage gardens and Sheringham park all terrific. Local produce has been great, especially the asparagus and strawberries at this time of year. For pub food /good ales, we would recommend the Vernon Arms(Southropps), The Bluebell (North Walsham), The White Horse (Neatishead) – but there are loads of great places around!!! For a food and art experience definitely try the Gunton Arms (Gunton/Thorpe Market). Thanks again for a lovely “home” to get back to in the evening- just perfect!
