Stay #8 but our first in August. The weather has been remarkably good (for us) and so we have spent more time than usual sitting in the garden and walking the farm tracks. Still found time for a walk along Tweed at Paxton, lunches (at Collingwood Arms Bistro and Oblo at Eyemouth) and dinners at Tilmouth Park Hotel all good!

Another lovely stay ... We do really feel at home here and everything worked so well for J. He loved the garden and watching the birds and seeing the cows and sheep. Such a treat to have a real fire. We are leaving so relaxed, can't wait to come back!

This has been our seventh stay and although our last stay was in 2011, we were pleased to find that little has changed. We felt at home as soon as we opened the garden gate! We have been to many cottages in many places but Melkington has to be in the top 3 (and No.1 for peace, quiet and relaxation). We liked the WiFi (we are not nerds but the internet is great for planning trips!). Special thanks for the exceptionally comprehensive and quality welcome hamper. Hopefully we will be back soon.

Beautiful house, so peaceful. Good wildlife activity in the morning and deep, dark quiet at night. Wonderful quality of light and great views over rolling hills. Home made marmalade in the welcome basket was a joy. Scotland just over the horizon. Wonderful real fire and huge bath, a real treat to come back to after a hard days exploring!
