Number 22 (6 Guests) holiday home details

A stylish retreat from which to explore Aldeburgh and the beautiful Suffolk coast. This terraced cottage is five minutes' walk from the beach and High Street restaurants and shops and provides all the comforts of a home-from-home

Number 22 is a cosy and spacious, light and airy terraced character cottage, ideal for year-round holidays and short breaks. Thoughtfully decorated and equipped throughout, it features an open plan living and dining area which leads into a modern kitchen and onto a pretty, sunny courtyard garden. The stylish master bedroom benefits from the morning sun and is spacious and airy, whilst the second double bedroom has views over the rear garden. Off this bedroom is a smaller bunk room, perfect for children.

In the warmer summer months, enjoy dining alfresco and cook up a treat on the large brick-built barbecue. With the sun in the garden through the afternoon and evening, it's a great place to relax and unwind after a busy day exploring the local area.

Please note: Number 22 can be booked as a Sleeps 6 option or a Sleeps 4 option. The third bedroom is locked when the Sleeps 4 option is booked.

Attractions and nearby amenities

  • Number 22 is perfectly situated to enjoy all that Aldeburgh has to offer. It is a short walk to both the beach and the High Street which boasts independent shops and there are lots of good places to eat from cafes to restaurants. Try the Two Magpies Bakery for morning coffee and nothing beats fish and chips eaten on the beach.
  • The surrounding countryside has stunning scenery, with a number of walks taking in the views along the estuary. The walk from Snape Maltings to Iken meanders along the Alde estuary taking in the views across the reed beds. If you are lucky, besides the large number of birds you may spot a seal basking in the sunshine.
  • If you want to go further afield to explore, there are a number of regional cycle routes and the roads are quiet. Suffolk Cycle Hire can provide bikes to get you out in the countryside.
  • The Suffolk Coast & Heaths is designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with a number of stunning locations to walk in.
  • The town hosts a number of different events throughout the year including a summer theatre and concerts associated with Snape Maltings.
  • Younger guests will enjoy a trip to Thorpeness to explore the magical world of Peter Pan on the Meare.
  • If you fancy finding out about the life of a medieval knight and what it was like living as a Tudor both Orford Castle and Framlingham Castle have a number of events running throughout the year.
