We had a lovely week and really enjoyed our stay at Brooks Lodge. What a fantastic place in a stunning setting - We loved it. the view from the living room is just stunning, we spent a bit of time watching all the wildlife and scaring the Heron away! Holly loved the cats and will miss looking and listening to them. I think we spent the majority of our time visiting Lewes and enjoying their restaurants - as per the recommodations. Lewes is lovely, we even tested the oldest open air swimming pool in the country in lewes, which was a bit fresh. We will surely be back next time we holiday in Sussex

We last stayed at Brooks Lodge 5 years ago and were very happy to return, this time to lots of sunshine and even better views than before. The new pond complete with resident heron and ducks was lovely to wake up to. So much to see and do. Would echo the above comments on the Tiger Inn - a pleasure to sit by the village green and watch the world go by. Brooks is so comfy and lovely and I must again commend the fab lemon drizzle cake!! Thanks for a great week.

We really loved the house and really felt at home here over our stay. The house was perfectly clean when we arrived and the hamper and cake were very much enjoyed! We loved walking in the beautiful East Sussex countryside and enjoyed many trips out exploring during our stay. We would recommend The Tiger Inn at East Dean for a lovely pub meal after a long walk and we loved the Green Welly at Ditchling for a cup of coffee and a fabulous piece of cake. Thank you so much for the holiday. We will definitely be recommending to friends!!

Such a lovely house, fabulous setting in unspoiled countryside. Herons, ducks, partridges everywwhere which was of special interest to the two gorgeous cats. Blake is always ready to chase a stick! Fish and chips from R and B fish shop in Seaford and enjoyed a meal at Pelham Arms in Lewes. Beautiful weather and to top it all, people arriving from all over the country to see the very rare Queen of Spain fritillary butterfly. A smashing week.

A superb property, well appointed and spacious. Apart from Saturday the weather was superb and we were able to make full use of the decking and bifolding doors. Managed a couple of great walks and a trip to Brighton on Sat unfortunately spoilt by the rain. The wildlife around the property and the ducks were excellent. Four nights have gone all too quickly!

The end of an all too short few days stay. Two impressions remain. Firstly, the degree of innovation in the house which has been an eye opener to us, an ageing group. Then, the attention to detail which has made us feel personally welcomed guests. Thank you for an excellent and welcomed winter holiday.

Another fabulous week at this beautiful home from home. How lovely to arrive to find the lounge completely redecorated from when we were here a year ago. We love the look and particularly the curtains.
So much to do here and we ran out of days to enjoy it again. Highlights included a bracing New Years Day walk, the beach at Birling Gap just stunning, an interesting walk around Bodiam Castle. Our boys thoroughly enjoyed Brighton and the Pier again and also had a wonderful time trying out all the board games upstairs.

A beautiful lodge, thanks for sharing it with us.
From the welcome hamper to the fresh flowers, everything has been thought of.
One of the best Rural Retreats we have stayed at and only an hour from home. We had forgotten how beautiful Sussex is and enjoyed the countryside, a day trip to Brighton and Lewes.
We went to Steak night at the Abergavenney Arms up the road, lunch at Terre a Terre in Brighton and the Buttercup cafe in Lewes. But we enjoyed the fire and dinner/drinks back at the lodge. Thanks so much to the owner.

As an interior designer I'm quite fussy where I stay and I love Brooks lodge, it's actually even more stunning than the photos. The lodge is very spacious, fantastic external terrace, private parking. The lodge is very well equip with all appliances and technology you should wish for. The extra little touches, flowers and welcome hamper really made you feel spoilt. The interior is beautiful, which makes sense as the owner is also an interior designer. Susie really cares that you're having a pleasant stay. Can't wait to book again and have already recommended to a few friends and family who will be booking too.

The house is beautifully designed and executed and is the nicest Rural Retreats property we have stayed in and we've tried lots over the years. The boys loved the lemon drizzle cake and we loved the extremely comfortable beds, fresh flowers and toweling robes.
There was so much to do here and with fantastic weather we were spoilt for choice in things to do. Highlights did include Brighton Pier (including delicious fish and chips), exploring Lewes - it's castle. The boys really enjoyed the museum at Brighton and Hove, lots to see. We had a fantastic lunch at the Karn Inn, fine to round off the holiday. We will be back.
