Thank you Debbie and Tom for a wonderful stay in this truly unique home.
A hot tub under the stars is a real highlight.
We really enjoyed spending quality time here as a family and lily (10 months) is better catered for here than she is at home - and has been overwhelmed by all the toys, her comfy bed and all the wonderful fresh air.
I am sure we will be back!

Had a wonderful relaxing stay in your perfect getaway!
The barn and garden are absolutely beautiful and we would defiantly come back. Enjoyed expoloring local area and had a really good walk around the reservoir.
Thank you so much for your help Tom and also the hamper that was left for our arrival was delicious.
Felt completely comfortable and relaxed a real home from home - Definitely 5*

We have loved our stay at this unique Barn with it's beautiful garden setting. Thoroughly enjoyed visiting the surrounding areas with such a great variety of places to visit.
This was our first visit to Sussex and we have had some great days out. We loved the historic towns of Lewes and Alfinston and the traditional resorts of Brighton & Eastbourne. Also some lovely walks - The Seven Sisters, Birling Gap and Cuckmess Haven.
We have felt very welcome and the Barn has some lovely finishing touches with great attention to detail, the food hamper had some delicious treats and were much appreciated.
Thank you.

The perfect place for our first family holiday!
We've thoroughly enjoyed our stay here in the Barn. Waking to the wonderful views and sounds and spending time on the patio and evenings either tub or snuggled by the fire.
It has been a home from home for our 8 month old, Evelyn, thanks to Debbie's extra special touches - thinking of everything not just for us but for Evie too including toys, treats and cuddles! We have enjoyed every moment and can not wait to come back.
Thank you!

We have reached the end of a very happy fortnight in the comfort of this lovely barn.
The garden, trees, paddock and superb views from every window are delightful! Have visited lots of gardens, pubs and villages as well as Charlesdon, Monks House and Benwick Church. All very atmospheric - but the highlight of our stay has been the spectacular production of "Saul" and Glyndebourne and a second visit to " Vanessa" which was equally enthralling.
Cherrystone is an excellent base and Tom and Debbie are very warm and welcoming hosts.

A wonderful place to stay. Perfect weather has enabled us to live outside all week. Fantastic patio area and great gardens. Meg has thoroughly enjoyed taking ownership of all the grounds. Great location to hit the coastal resorts and beaches. Seaford good and dog friendly beaches. Cuckoo trail not far away and good location for a run or cycle. Had good meals at The Plough, The Ram Inn and The Sussex Ox, in good gardens all with Meg in too.

What a fantastic place! We have loved staying here. Thank you so much for the welcome hamper. It was a really nice touch and the chocolate brownies were delicious! This cottage has everything that we needed and is the best one we have ever stayed in. The 'little' touches have made it a regular home from home. You can reach most places to visit from here. We would recommend visiting Hastings, Worthing, Eastbourne, Brighton - all of which have excellent crazy gold courses. The Yew Tree at Arlington is definately worth visiting and the food is excellent. We are very sad to leave this hidden 'paradise' and hope to return again in the future! Thank you.

Well here we are again, a year to the day since we last stayed at the barn. Absolutely beautiful - same as last year. The weather has been scorching, just the sort of weather we needed. Thanks Debbie for the lovely food hamper, it was so full of lovely things. Been to some beautiful places, Rye, Lewes, Seaford, Eastbourne, Firle and also found a lovely pub The Roebuck Inn in Loughton. Can't wait to come back again in a couple of years. Will bring my mum next time, she'd love it as we do. Thank you x

Idyllic cottage and gardens which we were able to enjoy in glorious summer sunshine. Great location for our day at the tennis at Eastbourne but perfect for lounging/reading time on the sunbeds too. Shame about tennis court as we brought our gear to play. Lovely chats with locals in shop and pubs. Enjoyed Firle House and on our way to Churchill Chartwell now. Wonderful hamper (best we have ever had in villa/cottage hire) and really appreciated thought that went into everything. Fantastic stay and will recommend!

This was perfect in every way for our wedding night - from the petals and thoughtful touches to the Isles of Scilly painting on in the bathroom ( we are going there on our honeymoon! ) Couldn't have asked for a better stay - we will send photos and will be back for a nostalgic stay, maybe on our wedding anniversary. Thank you!

The Barn was perfect for all of us. Jess (dog) is nearly 15 with poor eyesight and hearing so being all on one level with safe access to the outside was perfect. We had a great time visiting Brighton, Alfriston and Herstmonceaux to name a few. The local store and Middle Farm highly recommended as is The Plough at Upper Dicker. We enjoyed lunch in the garden most days but look forward to returning when warmer.

30 December 2017
Cherrystone Barn, you absolute beauty! My boyfriend and I stayed at Cherrystone with our dog over New Years, for five days of pure relaxation. What can I say about this place that hasn't already been said? It's a gorgeous home nestled in the countryside, surrounded by a beautiful wrap around garden with all the tranquillity and privacy you could ever require but close enough to civilisation, so that you don't feel completely isolated. The extensive paddock out the back of the barn was a real treat too and we had direct access from there to a circular walk around the fields.
The village itself is lovely and upon arrival I had arranged with the owner of the local grocery shop to pick up a few bits. Unfortunately we got held up in traffic but the kind lady opened the shop up in the evening for us and we thought this was a really nice touch. She was so friendly and also gave us tips of where to celebrate NYE and we followed her advice and had the best time at a local pub!
This was our first time in the South Downs and we are so glad we picked Cherrystone as our adventure base. It's a truly stunning barn and everything has been thought about, from the cute welcome hamper with delicious brownie treats to the huge amounts of wood in the wood store, well equipped kitchen and the luxurious interior styling. The dog loved the spaciousness of the barn and the fact that he had so many places to exert excess energy - pure heaven.
For the duration of our stay we experienced Storm Eleanor, which was quite frightening at times but that didn't dampen our spirits! After our long, wet and windy walks we would get back to the safety of the barn and light the wood burner which kept the entire place nice and toasty in the wintry weather. Cherrystone was an ideal place to just sit back and listen to the rain, howling winds, cook up a feast, take a hot soak in the roll top bath and just relax.
This little staycation has quite literally been a dream, a truly special getaway that we will treasure forever. We didn't want to leave but we cannot wait to return.

Thank you for a great stay! We really appreciated the Christmas tree decorations which helped make a special Christmas for us. Our dog Bear loved being in the country and having a back garden. So many dog friendly pubs and shops. The cottage was so wonderfully cosy on the windy, rainy nights. We enjoyed the towns, walks and history of the area. Would love to return in summer! Thank you!

Wonderful, relaxing base to explore picturesque East Sussex. It has been a pleasure to stay in this lovely cottage. As the weather has been very good, being able to sit out so much in the spacious garden has been a real bonus. We haven't previously stayed in a place for two with so much land for our personal use. We made good use of the Ripe Village store - the home-cooked cakes and prepared meals are excellent. The cottage is centrally located and a good base to explore the area.

We enjoyed it here at New Year so much, we booked to come back. It hasn't disappointed. Cherrystone Barn is perfect. It's quiet, peaceful and tranquil. The garden and paddock are ideal, especially for the two lively spaniels. The property is so clean, tidy and well maintained and is a real credit to Delia and to both Debbie and Tom. Its location is also perfect for touring the very many attractions, beaches and beauty spots in the area, all of which are dog friendly. One hidden treasure has to be Alfriston. If you love "Olde Worlde" you must go there. There are great pubs, cafes and the vintage Post Office! Also a beautiful church, The Clergy House and riverside walks. Another gem is The Green Man at Ringmer, only 10 minutes away on the Lewes road. If you love pies, this is Heaven. I've never seen or eaten such well filled and tasty pies! I hope you enjoy your stay as much as we have. I can't wait to come back again, and again. The rest has all been said by others - EXCELLENT!

Wonderful location, imaginative and user-friendly design and amenities throughout. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in a part of the country new to us. Our half-grown Labrador puppy found the garden and field to be utter bliss. We plan to come again!

Thank you for a pleasant stay. Nice, quiet get away. Lovely and quiet and not once disturbed by anyone. Lovely warm log burner. We will be back.

Wonderful relaxed stay. Amazing barn, great decor and attention to detail. The garden is lovely and great to let Scampie dog run around freely. Perfect (very muddy) walk across a few fields to the Yew Tree Inn for lunch with my sister and children. Thank you for the basket of goodies - very welcome. Location is great and very quiet. I'm sure we'll be back and will definitely recommend to friends and family.

Perfect, perfect, perfect. Wonderful warm welcome, thank you for the toys for our Grandson when he came to visit. Have totally chilled and will hopefully return. We only live an hour from here - but this area is so different.

We enjoyed a lovely short stay in this beautiful retreat. Not bothered by the terrible weather as able to just chill out beside the wood burner and watch the squirrels and pheasants hop around the fence and gardens. An ideal location for visiting local attractions and enjoyed it so much, we booked another week in August! I have never been in such a cosy, clean and well equipped property and could quite easily just move in! the extra touches such as the Christmas tree, hamper, tea tray and a full dog water bowl just made it that extra special and was much appreciated.

What an utterly perfect place for a NYE hideaway! A blissful pause from the chaos of real life and confirmation of what we already know - that we are happier looking at fields and surrounded by trees than we are in the city. We look forward to coming back with our shiny new twins later in the year - and Ross's guitar which as been the sound track to our stay.

Fab cottage, our stay was made comfortable as ever. Yew Tree hearty food, friendly, close-by. Tiger Inn, East Dean nearby & friendly. Beachy Head much needed to blow cobwebs away but all in all only need the cottage, grounds and food. Log burner and the deep bath were the icing on the cake - we will be back!

We've really enjoyed our stay at cherrystone Barn. We have been warm and cosy and very comfortable. Lovely comfy bed and wonderful shower. The Barn is perfectly situated for all the best places to visit in this part of Sussex. We intend to return in the warmer weather so we can enjoy your wonderful garden! Great lunch at Rose Cottage Inn and The George at Alfriston. Both dog friendly.
