A very well presented property, immaculately clean and tastefully furnished and equipped. Sophie very helpful on the telephone and she looks after the property very well.The hamper, all from M and S was one of the best we have had from Rural Retreats. Sandfields Barn is situated conveniently for visiting the Cotswolds ,Broadway is about 30 mins away Chipping Camden the same distance. I have to agree with previous reviewers about the road noise, there was early morning traffic and the property is close to the road.Also there is a boiler in one of the bedroom wardrobes which is operating during the night so that is my reason for the four stars

We had a great stay in Sandfields Barn. It's extremely comfortably furnished and equipped (make sure you find all the kitchen cupboards!), with a fantastic secure garden where our dog could have his freedom. Sophie had prepared it beautifully and looked after us very well, and had put together the best and most useable welcome hamper we have ever had in any holiday cottage. Two negative points: although the barn is very private and isolated, although within walking distance of Luddington village, in September the tractors really were thundering past the wall of the barn very frequently. This disturbed us a bit as we are unused to any traffic at home, but in no way did it spoil our stay. Secondly, I am a very light sleeper and found I could not sleep in the kingsize room due to the noise of the boiler which is housed in the wardrobe.

Sandfields Barn was the perfect base for us to explore Stratford on Avon and the surrounding areas. The recent addition of air conditioning in the bedrooms was a welcome relief from the hot temperatures . The accommodation was extremely comfortable and the location is beautiful and offers plenty of privacy . Sophie was great to work with and was available to answer any questions we had . We would definitely recommend this property to anyone considering it .

Such an incredible stay, we stayed for 3 nights and were so so impressed. The barn was spotless in all areas, the kitchen doors let in so much light and we had the best weather to enjoy this. The generous welcome hamper was lovely (and had some dog treats too!) The garden was beautiful and has a number of seating areas. The location was great, really secluded but only a few miles drive to Stratford centre. The surrounding roads were quiet with a few passing cars/tractors/cyclists. The garden is well enclosed around the perimeter, no concerns at all about our dog escaping. There are a few gaps in the gate that very small dogs may need to be mindful of (for reference a cocker spaniel could not fit through this gap). Sophie's communication was great and she was available for all our questions, we did have a very slight issue with no outdoor lighting but this would be easily fixed. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting a relaxing break. Can't wait to book again!!

We had a wonderful 3 nights in this property and as previous reviews state, it's absolutely stunning. It was warm and very cosy. The sofa and beds especially. It is fully equipped for either a short or long stay. We loved the privacy of it and we were very lucky with the weather. We even had to have the doors open in the middle of November due to the South facing kitchen. As we didn't stay too long we decided to have our evening meals out and there are lots of local pubs serving excellent food and drinks. We would recommend the Four All's and The Bell Inn, both in Welford on Avon. Finally, we stay in many cottages around the country and I have to say that the welcome hamper in this property is an 11 out of 10!!

Such a lovely break in a lovely house! We had the warmest welcome and a lovely hamper from Sophie, the housekeeper, which made for a wonderful start to the week. The living room is comfortable and cosy, the air heaters/air conditioners in the bedrooms was a lovely touch to make us extra comfortable, and everywhere was spotlessly clean. One slight negative was that the two sections of mattress topper on the zip link bed had a tendency to slide apart slightly, but it was a very minor thing! Very much looking forward to staying again in the future!
