We absolutely loved this place! The location was brilliant in a very peaceful country setting with pleasant surroundings, but also very close to local amenities. The accommodation was superb! The attention to detail was brilliant and well thought out with the gothic aesthetics both inside and outside the property. We had a very warm welcome from Stuart and Vicki and to walk into the property with church music playing with candles was a brilliant touch! Just added to the whole gothic vibe. The log burner in the lounge was amazing and kept us warm and cozy and the bed was the most comfy we've ever slept it. Kitchen was well stoked with cooking utensils and the welcome pack was much appreciated. We cant wait to book again
Very unusual and quirky place. Beautiful surroundings and a great hot tub. Brilliant and thoughtful hosts.
The Chapel is such a special and unique property - we are delighted that you enjoyed your stay and thank you for leaving your feedback.
A very unique place to stay, very comfortable, could not find anything to fault it and cannot wait to return.
Fantastic and quirky place to stay. We enjoyed 2 nights in the Chapel for our wedding anniversary and I couldn't have selected a better place. The area is stunning and so peaceful. The hosts were amazing and their dinner recommendations were perfect. All in all the perfect stay 10/10. We will certainly be coming back in the future!
This was a fantastic and unique experience in a very tranquil setting. Viki and Stuart were exceptional hosts. Great local restaurants and walks. We could not have asked for anything more and definitely intend to visit again.
Amazingly unusual and quirky retreat with amazing decor and lots of thought provoking decoration. Wonderfully quiet with great pubs and restaurants all within a miles walk
A beautiful place to stay, absolutely stunning
5 stars aren't enough. What a great place to spend a few days. First class accomodation, first class hosts ; just a great experience, thank you Vicky and Stuart.
Excellent property well found and lovely welcome pack. Hosts are very friendly and welcomong. Lots of walks in the area and plenty of restaurants nearby.
An absolute delight! Wonderful place, very luxurious, quirky and comfortable. Great hosts who made us feel very welcome.
This is an outstanding rental property, although its location might cause the casual browser to overlook it. That would be a huge mistake! The property is part of a small rural estate where all 3 properties are renovated to a high standard by a couple who are very well qualified to deliver an attractive, very comfortable and unusual holiday venue. The owners are on-site, friendly and very helpful. As for the location, well, one may not think of Bromsgrove as a tourist hotspot, but it is ideally placed to visit Birmingham, Worcester, Stratford upon Avon and the Welsh borders. The local rail station is a 20 minute walk / 3 minute drive, with regular services to Birmingham, Worcester and beyond. The nearby canal has a superb canalside pub / restaurant and the longest flight of locks in England. Don't miss the opportunity to enjoy the Chapel or one of its sister properties.
The photos don’t do The Chapel justice! If you like, flagstones, exposed brick and timber, wooden floors, antiques, interesting objects and unusual artefacts then this is for you! Despite the rustic appearance, The Chapel is incredibly cosy and warm. We loved the log burner and used it every day in January. Scented candles, soaps and room fragrances have been carefully selected to create a beautiful aroma too! The Chapel was very well equipped, including a very nice welcome hamper, and the handbook contained excellent recommendations for eating out. It is in a very peaceful setting with lovely views and a dedicated space to park your car right, privately, next to the property. Can’t fault anything!
The Chapel was a perfect place to stay. We loved the church/ funeral themed decor and the place was cosy and warm. There was also a lot to see and do in the area including Avoncroft Museum, a walk along the canal to the Queen’s Head pub or popping in to Birmingham to explore the city.
Absolutely stunning accommodation. Every you needed at hand. Fantastic welcome hamper. All in all an amazing week!
Very comfortable, quirky and characterful property in a lovely quiet location. Excellent hosts. Numerous good eating places nearby.
As soon as Vicky and Stuart welcomed us to The Chapel cottage, they made us feel like family. It was fabulous and quirky, with a capital Q. The ambience captured in the cottage was sumptuous and relaxing and the wood burner made it very cosy. It was fun spotting all the different things on the walls, (faces, wall hangings, etc). The bathroom was particularly novel and the roll top bath was a treat. The garden areas were a pleasure to sit in and the hot tub kept us amused most evenings. We had an amazing time at The Chapel. It was in a lovely quiet location, but only a few minutes from all the amenities you could need. Walking along the canal tow path was a real pleasure and calling at the pubs along the way made it a real treat. The Ewe and Lamb serves fabulous food and has a great selection of beers and gins, as does The Queens Head. Thank you Vicky and Stuart for a fabulous holiday at The Chapel and all your hard work.
Perfect property for our memorable occasion and Vicki & Stuart were so attentive & hardworking in helping with this. Didn't use the car during our stay , turn left at the bottom of the drive a 20min walk into Aston Fields and you'll find an eclectic mix of bars & restaurants . Turn right and you'll come to the top of the Tardebigge flight of locks, a nice walk down the locks & canal to the Queen's Head pub & restaurant. First class.
Everything was perfect, such a quirky place and excellent hosts, already recommended to family and friends, can't wait to return!!
I cannot rate this property highly enough, a stunning place to stay that has been beautifully retored by the hosts. The welcome hamper was excellent, the property equippped with everything you could need and the hosts are charming and extremely helpful
