Willersey Farm House holiday home details

On the northern edge of the Cotswolds, Willersey is a delightful honey-stone village typical of the area, with welcoming country pubs, a village green and a local shop. Tucked down its own gated driveway is Willersey Farm House, a four-bedroom property that has been recently and lovingly renovated to create the ideal holiday home. The owners have carefully retained original features such as Cotswold stone walls and timbered beams, while adding sleek, contemporary furnishings to make this an extremely stylish holiday home.

At one end of the farmhouse is the living area, with a high-ceilinged living room with large, comfortable sofas. A double-sided fireplace takes up a whole wall, creating a stunning focal point. On the other side of the fireplace is the kitchen and dining area, with a dining table and chairs to seat ten guests. Large, picture windows throughout flood the rooms with light. The kitchen is in contemporary style, with an American fridge freezer and sleek marble surfaces. The bedrooms are equally stylish, with wooden beams and contemporary furnishings. The farmhouse is surrounded by lawn on all sides, and there’s an orchard to the front of the property. It’s the perfect place for the dogs or the little ones to run around and let off some steam while you relax in the rattan chairs on the patio.

Attractions and nearby amenities

  • Willersey puts you just a few miles away from the most quintessential Cotswold town of them all, Broadway, with its unique and iconic three-storey tower. The town is steeped in history – plenty of artists stayed here, as did Oliver Cromwell!
  • If you’re visiting Broadway, why not take a detour to the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway? This heritage railway takes you to Cheltenham, through some of the most breathtaking scenery in the Cotswolds.
  • When you arrive at Cheltenham, you’ll find why the town has become known as the Capital of the Cotswolds, with its stylish Promenade, boutiques and independent eateries. If you’re a fan of the turf, a visit to Cheltenham Races is a must!
  • Just a short drive from Willersey, Sudeley Castle is a great day out for all the family. This is the only private castle in England to have a queen buried within its grounds. Katherine Parr lived here and was entombed in the church on the estate. In fact, four queens have links with the castle, including Elizabeth I.
  • Stratford-upon-Avon isn’t far from the North Cotswolds. If you appreciate the Bard you can catch a Shakespeare play at one of the three theatres here, but this lovely town is well worth a visit in its own right.
  • The Cotswold Wildlife Park is home to some rare birds and mammals. Not to mention reptiles and amphibians! The gardens are glorious, especially in the spring and summer.
