We have really enjoyed our time staying in the Showman's Wagon although the weather hasn't been the greatest (it is October in Wales). It has been a warm, welcoming retreat after being out exploring for the day. The dogs have had so much fun running in the Coed y Brenin forest park or being able to run on the local beaches having all that freedom was new to them. Thank you for making us feel so welcome.

Our fourth visit - the first in Autumn with its wonderfully changeable weather (rain, gales, brilliant sunshine on the gold of the birches, mists on the mountains). We had some lovely walks and enjoyed 2 beautiful sunsets, one on the Mawddach Trail, one from the wagon's comfy sofa. We explored a bit of the Rhinogs for the first time, walking to Pistyll Gwyn waterfall &beyond through the nature reserve, and visited the past at Yr Ysgwm near Trawsfynnydd (early 20th century Welsh poet) and the future at CAT near Machynlleth, and the past preserved and alive at Talyllyn Railway Station in Tywyn. Wagon as beautiful and comfortable as ever - many thanks! We'll be back ...

Lovely couple of days - not nearly long enough but like many others in the book, I'll be back! The wagon is comfortable and well equipped, useful info provided & guides to the area (loved the Rhinogydd book - fascinating history of the drovers & their routes through the mountains). Bike hire was handy 7 Jacky very helpful in sorting out my dog carrying arrangements (chihuahua in a backpack!) If there wasn't so much to see and do in the area I'd have more than happily spent my days here lounging in comfort in front of the fire. Many thanks for a wonderful stay.

We've had a lovely stay in the Showman's Wagon. So cosy, so comfortable, so unique.
We had everything we needed and more! The view down the estuary is stunning - even when it rains !! and it did rain just a bit!! Still - nothing you can do about the weather - just stay cosy and have a cup of tea. Will miss saying "there she blows" every time the kettle boils!
Snowdonia is a beautiful place.

Love the creative touches in this enchanting space.
It was wonderful to spend a whole day on the sofa watching the tides and the weather come and go.
Thank you for sharing this wagon for our much needed escape.

An overnight stay which was way too short! Pretty incredible experience we will gladly & delightfully recommend to friends and family. One week in Wales and the wagon is surely the highlight of our trip in terms of accommodation. Thank you for showing us in and telling us your incredible story. Yet to see the dogs, but this will be for next time, we will be back for sure! Thanks again.

Fantastic wagon! What a lovely place to spend a few days away from the London madness.... This is a great little enterprise - you have considered every aspect so thoughtfully. Bravo.
A real pleasure to experience this part of Wales.

We have enjoyed a wonderful few days at Coed Cae. We love the wagon and have found it both comfortable and fun to stay in. It is clear that you both have put a lot of love and careful planning into it.
Many thanks.

We had a lovely time int he wagon & exploring the area. The weather was a little wet, but we still enjoyed our time. Especially the eggs and the fire (log burner).
The George III pub is definitely worth going to, especially considering how close it is.
We have exhausted our little dog exploring the beautiful area.
Thanks again.

What an amazing wagon, we have had an amazing time. We are torn between telling all our friends how wonderful it was or keeping quiet so that it's free for us to come again!
Coco has enjoyed all the wonderful walks in the area and meeting yourr 2 dogs!!
Thank you.

What a fabulous time we had!
Thank you so much J & G for letting us share in your amazing achievement. We have really enjoyed our 2 nights in the "wagon", thanks for all the thoughtful touches that have made our stay so comfortable. Sadly we have had 2 days (and nights) of wind and rain so not able to sip a G&T outside, but after a chilly trip to Portmeirion enjoyed the log burner (in August!) to warm up on our return. Thanks again.

What a find! We fell so fortunate to have stayed here. We have loved every aspect of this unusual accommodation where quite literally everything has been considered!
From the doggy welcome pack, the fresh milk and cold water in the fridge to the plentiful electric sockets - nothing has been missed!
We have loved discovering the area from our special base.
Your guides to walks, history and the Mawddach Big-8 are fascinating!
We hope to return to walk and cycle the entire routes.
Thank you both - it's been wonderful

Had a fantastic stay in the Showman's Wagon. You've obviously worked very hard and thought of everything. Loved the wood burner! and the fact we were constantly seeing a new quirk.
It is beautiful indeed.
Thank you for a wonderful break.

Great place to stay to discover the surrounding area & coastal resorts. The wagon takes me back when I used to be part of a travelling fair. Really quirky but it works. Graham & Jacky have put a lot of hard work into this wagon to make all that stay here a really memorable stay for them. We will definitely be back.

Surprise birthday treat - aided by no drive meal at The George III & first ever scaling a 5 bar gate - perfect. To be recommended. Also Gin menu & views.
Excellent yarn shop in Dolgellau for knitters/crafters. Fairbourne miniature railway & ferry to Barmouth also great for a fine day & dogs welcome.
Thank you so much to the Showman/Show-woman.

What a fabulous week away! Everything we needed, wagon is beautiful and didn't want for nothing. Coming back from walking and biking, putting that log burner on and just relaxing.

What a wonderful restoration of a Showman's Caravan. It is lovely, everything you could think of or need - a little different from the original.
The views are fantastic, watching the changing tides & setting sun, surrounded by bird song.
Love all the circus posters - another one will follow! My mother in law's brother had a Show band in Ireland and now they run two circuses. I have sent them photos of the Showman's Wagon.
A wonderful few days to be repeated. Thank you Jacky & Graham for the hospitality and your hard work preserving a little bit of history.

Our stay in the Wagon was amazing. We loved everything about it, very upset it's time to leave!

Our first time in Wales was not a disappointment and we will be back very soon.

We had an amazing time in the Showman's Wagon! Our only regret was that we couldn't stay longer. Everything from the decor to the views over the Mawddach Estuary was so unique and a fantastic way to spend a few days unwinding.
We would highly recommend the short drive over to Cadair Idris. The walk is quite strenuous but the views are some of the best we've ever seen.
We'll definitely be back at some point in the near future to do some more exploring and spend some time in front of the fire. Thanks so much. Diolch yn Fawr.

We have had a lovely time - just wish we were here for longer. We love this area & would love to return to this great wagon. Great walks - recommend walking to Cregennen lakes via the Mawddach Trail- leaving at Arthog & then re-joining to walk into Barmouth - really handy having a bus stop so near! (after a long walk)
We also enjoyed watching Barmouth's new lifeboat arrive in VERY windy surf & conditions.
Many thanks.

Back again for a third visit - we love it here! We explored further afield this time, and enjoyed the old Roman Fort Tomen y Mur near Trawsfynydd - spectacular views and atmosphere on a bleak cold day, patches of snow still around. What did the Romans make of it all? Go and exercise your imagination! We also hunted for - and found - several of the planets on the Solar System Trail around N.Wales, starting with the ones in & near Blaenau Ffestiniog - that was fun. And we did the Torrent Walk - spectacular - and a gentle stroll along part of the Mawddach Trail.
Views from the Wagon as lovely as ever, and included a magical golden sunset - a surprise after a grey drisly day.

Thank you Jacky & Graham for another wonderful stay at the wagon. Our second time staying here and it was just as perfect as the first!

We'd recommend the nearby Cadair Idris horseshoe loop for a satisfying half-days hike (about 5 hours).
Looking forward to returning next year!

Thank you for what turned out to be one of the most breathtakingly beautiful experiences we've had.

We have spent a lot of time in both North and Mid Wales in some beautiful spots but we both agreed our stay at the Showman's Wagon was the best, the decor is fantastic every finite detail perfect and every need catered for.

We are both very keen on wildlife and were impressed by the plethora of small birds and raptors in attendance, not to mention the beautiful views.

Hopefully see you again in the not too distant future.

Thank you for making our stay in your "Showman's Wagon" so special, we felt like we were at home from the minute we got here ! (So did Jake!)

Whilst staying only for a few days we managed to climb Snowdon and face our fears on the fastest Zip line in Europe, as well as visiting Swllow Falls. Maps for the walks are a great idea, we found them very useful!

Hopefully see you again soon!

What a perfect sanctuary - away from our lovely but crazy 4 children. The weather has been wonderful so have explored the trail to Dolgellau with the dogs and spent the afternoon on Barmouth beach. The Wagon is beautiful, homely and cosy!! I love the bed made of logs and the pegs in the bedroom, you have created such a quirky and artistic getaway ... I'd love to have had longer!! Thank you so much.

Thank you for a lovely, relaxing stay in your super quirky amazing space! We were made to feel welcome on our arrival, have had wonderful weather and a great walk into Barmouth, which is a lovely seaside resort.

Thank you for sharing your great little wagon with us for the week. It's beautifully done out, homely, quirky but full of all the things you need. Kitchen is well kitted out, great shower and lots of useful local area info. The book of walks around Dolgellau definitely has some gems of walks. Holly loved her personal tray and dog treats and has thoroughly enjoyed exploring the area. Thanks again, great job in rescuing this old gem - I could definitely live in it. Best wishes.

What a fabulous break we've had at the "Showman's Wagon"! We have enjoyed the magnificent views of the estuary from both outside and inside the wagon! We had everything for a cosy, comfortable stay - this truly amazing space is thoughtfully equipped & spotlessly clean! Torrential rain meant that we did less walking than planned but had a great trip on the Welsh Highland Railway to Caernarfon - we enjoyed great views on the way back (once the condensation had cleared from the windows)! We fell in love with the log burner but no-one loved it more than our Pointer - Milo - who adopted the pole position in front of it whenever it was lit.

What an amazing experience. The Wagon has been a real highlight, just what we needed to escape London. Thak you Graham and Jacky for creating the perfect space to chill and enjoy the beauty of North Wales. We've both loved our time here and are finding it very hard to leave. Thank you so much.

We've loved our stay in this "amazing space". It's given us a cosy base to explore from & we've enjoyed relaxing watching the view. Being able to leave the car behind & set off for walks from the Showman's Wagon has been great. We had a circular walk along the Mawddach Trail, lunch in Dolgellau and back via Cymer Abbey. Another day we walked up to Llyn Cwm-Mynach via Coed Garth Gell. It was also very nice to be able to walk to the George III for a hearty meal. Thanks you very much.

Wow! What an amazing space - George has nothing on you! We loved how you've thought through the smallest design feature: the tree pegs, the light up mirror, the books & games. And what a marvellous extension, framing those views.
Thank you also for fluffy towels, dog treats & tea bags for a brew on arrival.
We were slow on the uptake re the authors of the walking books, but we really appreciate the hard work (and pleasure!) that went into those.

Clearly a huge amount of work went into creating the Showman's Wagon and it has paid off! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this unique and quirky place. A wonderful cosy refuge from the generally poor weather - clothes were dampened but not our spirits! Many thanks Jacky & Graham

We have had the most wonderful time here at Coed Cae. The Showman's Wagon is brilliantly thought out and offers everything we could possibly want/need. Having watched it in the making, we were expecting something special, but it surpassed our expectations.

So many great outdoor things to do nearby. Climbing Cader Idris was a highlight for us. Thank you so much our lovely hosts Jacky and Graham & Tess and Kip. We'll be back! xxx

There's no better tonic (other than a gin & tonic) than a stay at Coed Cae Showman's Wagon. We've had a fab few days enjoying pure relaxation, fantastic accommodation, a view to die for & glorious weather. We've dined at various locations from Criccieth to Dolgellau & feel thoroughly revitalised. If you're looking for heaven on earth, look no further as this is it - it doesn't get and better! Oh, & quality time with the dogs too. Diolch. x

This has been a beautiful place to stay - we're disappointed that we didn't book more time off work, so we could stay here and enjoy it for longer! Wonderfully quirky, but so much attention to detail - certainly one of the highest quality + most enjoyable places we've ever stayed.
Your lovely renovation of the Showman's Caravan has inspired lots of creative ideas for us as we fix up our own little camper van!
Thanks - hope to be back!

What a wonderful retreat the "Showman's Wagon" is.
Quiet & tranquil with fantastic views. We wanted a cozy little getaway for a couple of days and we weren't disappointed. It is clear to see the hardwork & love that has been invested into the wagon. The furnishings are beautiful and very tasteful and there is everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay. We started reading last night in the glow of the log burner hearing the patter of raindrops on the roof... very cosy!
Now, as I write, the sun is up, the birds are singing, could I ask for more.
Well done for bringing back to life this beautiful wagon. It's perfect.

We had a lovely stay here and found the caravan a brilliant little base to explore Snowdonia from. Such a cosy little place to come back tpo every evening too, either to sit looking at the sun above the estuary, or to cwtch up in front of the fire! Fantastic! Hope to return one day!

A return visit for us - are we the first of what I am sure will be many repeat visitors? It has been lovely experiencing the Showman's Wagon & locality in spring, after our winter retreat. The birds and birdsong have been amazing (nuthatch, tree creeper, tits, woodpecker, robin - and we heard an owl), views as glorious as ever, spring flowers (daffs, spurge, celandines) & new growth cheering, lambs fun, and comforts galore in the wagon. We enjoyed the Precipice Walk (No. 5 in Walks around Dolgellau), Coed y Garth again (No. 6), Llynnan Cregennan (No. 14 ), and our own variation on Braich Ddu (15) - Oh, and No. 16 too, along an old Drovers' Way - all magnificent. More to do - we'll be back!

The perfect escape!
We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay here in the Showman's Wagon. The wagon itself has all the comforts of home & is very well equipped.
Curling up in front of the log burner of an evening has been the perfect end to every day.
We've enjoyed walks in the hills & walks along the beautiful beaches - the wagon is perfectly situated for both.
We would definitely recommend the Showman's Wagon to our friends & family. Thank you!

Thank you very much for a lovely weekend.
We had an awesome stay and we are amazed with the Showman's Wagon and all the hard work you have put into it.
After a warm and welcome start in the van we ventured to Cader Idris but the wind soo blew us back to a lovely warm fire and cosy surroundings.
We will be back for cycling and more walks. Thank you.

Nearly cancelled due to flu but came anyway & so glad we did. The van is very comfortable and in a beautiful setting.
We didn't have the " energetic" holiday we had planned but plenty of "soul food" which lifted our spirits. Celebrated Trevor's 60th Birthday with a drive around some of our favourite places in the mountains.
Excited by the arrival of the snow and felt well enough to tackle the walk to Dolgellau along the trail. It was gorgeous.
Thank you - a lovely break.

We really couldn't have asked for anything more from this beautiful part of the world. Jacky/Graham - the amount of work you have put into the Showman's Wagon really shows and mine/Jo's only regret is that we didn't book longer!

Long cycles along the Mawddach Trail, falling down the sand dunes in Barmouth and the amazing Coed y Brenin were a few of our highlights.

We will be sure to shout far & wide about your "amazing space" and would love to return in future years.

We have had a fantastic New Year here in The Wagon. It is everthing and more than we expected, comfortable, warm with fantastic views and walks all around. We hope to come again and will be recommending to all our friends. We hope this isn't the end and you create some more wonderful spaces like this.
P.S Rupert our dog also had a fantastic stay and enjoyed the treats very much.

The Showman's Wagon was the perfect way to spend my birthday, cosy, comfortable and well equipped. We walked every day, our favorite was the Rhinog Fawr loop, setting off from the car park at the end of the road off the A470. It's an exciting challenging walk for more expirienced hikers. The views from the wagon are magnificent and provided the perfect backdrop for warm nights in front of the fire with jigsaws. Jackie and Graham were the perfect hosts, easily contactable prior to arriving and left a wonderful hamper with all the essentials and even some crackers. We wouldnt hesitate to recommend the Showman's Wagon to friends and family and would love to return in the near future.
Mr B, Wolverhampton.

We have had a magical Christmas here – a perfect winter break! The wagon is cosy and well equipped and we were able to cook everything we’d planned, enjoy cosy evenings in front of the log burner, listen to music, watch DVD’s, marvel at the birdsong and views, and even skype with distant family on Christmas Day.
We only used the car once – to go to the candlelit Christmas Eve Carol Service in Hen Eglwys Llangelynnin on the coast, which was lovely.
We did 2 beautiful walks, up Cwm Mynach and back through the Coed Garth nature reserve (No. 6 in the “Walks around Dolgellau” booklet) and the Mawddach Estuary (Walk no. 10) which took us up to spectacular views of Cadair Idris & the Estuary, & back along the river to the toll bridge.
We will sing the praises of The Showman’s Wagon far and wide now!
Thank you for inventing such a magnificent retreat

Really enjoyed our stay - loved the peaceful setting and easy access to great walking. A fantastic cosy and unique place to stay, would love to come back - maybe next time the weather will be better so we can climb Cadair Idris in the sunshine, but the advantage of the cool, rainy evenings was that we could enjoy the log burner.

Will be sad to leave the lovely "wagon" tomorrow! It is so comfortable with everything we needed & more! The quirky touches added to its charm & make us want to come back. Love all the green bins for recycling - hope everyone else continues your good work. With Best Wishes.

The Showman's wagon is amazing. It has been so tastefully decorated and is so comfortable with incredible attention to detail. I have to say it's the most original place we have ever stayed. You will not be disappointed. There isn't anything that we did not like. A beautiful wood burning stove. Modern central heating. Modern shower room. Well equipped kitchen. Amazing walks from your door. Pub across the toll bridge which is walkable only 10 minutes. The view from the kitchen window of the Mawddach Estuary is beautiful. Lovely private enclosed patio with seating area We will be returning!!

We stayed in the Showman's Wagon, a beautifully converted "caravan", rather than the main house. It had everything we needed. Stunning views of the estuary & valley. We were greeted by the owner on arrival & had fresh milk & goodies waiting for us. Superb!
