Well, where do I begin? Pulling into the drive way and being greeted by the friendliest of dogs was just the start of our amazing weekend. Euan and Laura were fabulous hosts, very friendly and accommodating. Euan, your mum would "love" that you called this little gem after her. It's 5 star accommodation in the middle of nowhere, so peaceful and tranquil. A weekend just wasn't enough. The hamper was amazing with fresh eggs from the local farm. The luxury bathroom was heavenly. We spent hours sitting by the fire which Euan kindly lit for us toasting marshmallows and giggling like schoolchildren. We will be sad to be leaving Anne's Hut so soon, but our batteries are fully charged and can't wait to come back for longer next time. Thank you both for letting us stay in your lovely place

It's rather difficult to do justice to this little spot with words or pictures. Suffice it to say that head home somewhat richer in spirit, rested, refreshed and full of gratitude.

We really enjoyed our stay at Anne's Hut. We were really lucky with the weather so saw the area at its best. The walk from Tintern Abbey to The Devil's Pulpit rewarded us with a wonderful view of the valley. We had an excellent dinner at The Royal George but it was not as much fun as cooking our sausages over the fire pit! Thank you Euan and Laura for being such good hosts.

We have had a fabulous couple of days in the beautifully made Shepherds Hut. The perfect combination of life under the stars and five star luxury. Thanks so much for the warm welcome and hospitality. We will definitely be back and hopefully for longer next time.

We have really enjoyed our stay here at Anne’s Hut. The hosts have been fantastic (friendly dogs included)and we have been provided with everything we needed to make our stay super comfortable. There is so much to do nearby, we have visited Chepstow Castle, walked up Sugarloaf Mountain, taken a pottery class at Hot Pot Potteryand visited some local pubs and cafes. We have also enjoyed plenty of relaxing time at the hut, playing games by the fire, taming baths with a view of the wood and having a BBQ on the open fire.
Definitely just what we wanted for a relaxing countryside break.

A magical little place for a winter getaway. A beautiful setting and hut is cosy with lots of luxuries included. The log burning fire, the bath with view over the woodland and fluffy bathrobes really made it for us. We had a warm welcome from the owner and all the info we could need for making the most of our stay. We were lucky with the weather and got to enjoy sitting out by the fire pit twice, cooking lunch and roasting marshmallows too. I the area Tintern Abbey is stunning, as is the road up the river Wye to cycle, however be aware of speedy drivers overtaking. Loved our stay here, a really unique place.

Thank you so much for Creating such a wonderful retreat! Kevin and I had the most lovely time. it was a truly unique birthday surprise for me. Euan is a star, so helpful, freindly and welcoming, providing a fantastic start to our amazing stay that we wish could have lasted longer! Next time for sure!! Every little touch adds to the magic of this place. We will definitley be returning. When we saw this hut on line we thought it looked fantastic. Even with high expectations it exceeded it beyond our imgaination. The fire pit was an amazing treat to end our stay and allow us to BBQ our feast.
Thank you Euan and Laura for letting us stay in this magical little place and being so accommodating.

Staying here and exploring this pocket of Monmouthshire has made us both very happy. The autumnal colours blaze across the valleys surrounding the meandering rivers, Wye, Monnow and Severn. The silence is audible and the aor is fresh. Thank you so much for being so welcoming and ensuring the hut is perfectly equipped and stocked. We enjoyed the circular walk you recommended from the hut which took us to the top of the hill to see seven counties. Isn't Britain wonderful. We will be back.

Our 3 night stay at Anne's Retreat was the magical. Starting with Euan's friendly and wholeheartedly kind welcome (even when we arrived much later than planned!) to the gorgeous interior and generous welcome hamper. Euan even brought us some lovely local sausages back as he was popping out to the shop.
Bring marshmallows and sit by the fire pit and listen to the leaves falling off the trees, bring bubble bath and sit looking out into the woods.... my first bath with birdsong for company.
A little gem hidden in the Welsh Countryside.
Many thanks for a relaxing break

What a perfect antidote to busy city life! The huts provided everything I needed for a relaxing stay. Warm cosy indoor and outdoor fires, fluffy robes, towels and hot water and the lovely hamper of treats. I cannot wait to return and share this with my husband next time!
Euan and Laura, thank you for sharing your beautiful slice of paradise with me. I look forward to next time.

This wonderful stay began with Euan's warm, friendly welcome. Anne's hut is simply beautiful and has everything I needed to make myself comfy and cozy. I've enjoyed many a doze in the hammock, taken advantage of the walks on the doorstep affording stunning views of the Severn, take in the stars by the roasty fire pit and of course enjoyed several long lie in's
This was just the perfect peaceful, solitary spot I needed to rest and recharge

Ryan and I have had the most wonderful relaxing honeymoon. Euan was a pleasure, telling us about 'must see' places, pubs and butchers etc. Annies hut was exactly what we needed - we don't want to leave! Advice for guests: Marshmallows, lots of casserole ingredients, a mountain of good books, walking shoes and never leave the hut - because it is so perfect. Thank you for having us.

Dear Laura & Euan
What a complete dream to find Anne’s Hut and you both. The perfect spot to escape the rabble.
Complete perfection in every way.
Thank you and hope to return very soon
All the very best.

We enjoyed a fantastic and secluded three nights at Anne’s Hut. The seclusion is the number one thing about this place! The hut itself is beautiful and finished to the highest standard. It was clearly made with love by the owner and host Euan (who lives nearby to welcome and help with anything). It is a really fun place and host Euan, was quick to show us the log burner inside and the fire pit outside which we enjoyed keeping stocked each evening. The separate bathroom hut is beautifully finished including an external light which when turned on at night, means you can sit in the bath and and look out over the secluded woodland. Also, it rained all day on one of our days (so take Monopoly, just in case!) which is great fun from inside the warm hut (if you like the rain, like us!). Obviously the bathroom hut is separate so you will get fractionally wet popping to the loo! For us this absolutely added to the quintessential charm of the place.

There are endless walks from and around Anne’s Hut (maps provided - although I would really just ask Euan as he knows the best spots and is more than willing to help!). Tintern, a lovely little village on the river, is 10 minutes away with plenty of places to eat and Tintern Abbey is stunning.

My advice is to go food shopping before you arrive and stay on site, away from the rest of the world, for as long as possible! The 4G connection, if you want it, is pretty good too.

Euan really went above and beyond, going as far as to chop wood for us each day and help build our fire pit each evening. He really couldn’t have been more helpful.

Having seen a Shepherds Hut on TV, we wondered what it would be like to stay in one. We were not disappointed! Quirky but with all the mod cons! Very comfy bed and great shower!
The location is idillic, such wonderful peace and quiet. The dogs who greeted us every time we came back were a bonus

Anne's Hut was the most perfect antidote to busy London, tucked away in the beautifully rural Wye Valley, but with every possible luxury one might find in a 5* hotel including an extremely comfortable superking bed, soft dressing gowns, toiletries and a bath that looked out into the dappled woodland sunlight outside.
Laura and Euan could not have been more warm and welcoming hosts, thinking of everything from bundles of kindling for the little woodburner inside, to treats for our breakfast which we enjoyed sitting outside on our private decking. They were a fountain of knowledge for the local area, resulting in some of the best walking we've ever done around historic Penterry. I only wished we could have stayed longer- a truly romantic getaway that trumps any 'glamping' experience. Our return couldn't come any sooner!
