We were a group of 12 retired but active friends, using the windmill as a base to walk and canoe. The windmill was fabulous with decor, furnishings and kitchen equipment exceeding our expectations. We ate all our meals in the windmill and had everything we needed. The selection of food provided was another bonus - local cheeses, bacon, cake etc. I’ve already recommended it to friends.
The windmill is absolutely stunning. Inside and out everything is amazing. 8 adults and a baby stayed for a 60th birthday weekend and we just had so much room. The place is so well kitted out and we were left so many goodies; wine, cake, bread, milk, cheese and more. The weather was lovely and we enjoyed a barbecue in garden and sitting out on the balcony. Would definitely recommend.

Would give more stars if we could! Amazing place, great nature and space. Beautiful river walk near by. Incredible views. Super homely welcome with a full kitchen. Everything you could need and so much more. Very clean and functional. Would highly recommend. Comfy longe and good table for gatherings, games, and meals.
Everything about this place was lovely. We loved the location, the area and especially the way the windmill has been furnished and refurbished. Also, we really appreciated the goodies that were left for us - not just a few basics but lots of cheese, bacon, eggs, biscuits, Welsh cakes and even a fresh home made cake! The kitchen was very well equipped with 2 dishwashers and 2 large fridges, everything was really good! There were 9 of us and it felt huge - plenty of space not to be on top of one another! But also a lovely dining room, a cosy lounge and a snug right at the top.

The Windmill is an amazing place to stay. It is very well equipped, with lots of lovely goodies left for us in the kitchen. Comfy bedrooms and plenty of bathrooms. No soap in the bathrooms, but easily rectified by a trip into Usk. A sweet little village with a co-op and lovely Indian restaurant/takeaway.

This means, if you would like to modify or cancel your booking due to Covid-19, our normal terms and conditions now apply.
If the restrictions are reintroduced and you are forced to cancel your holiday due to legal restrictions, please be rest assured that we will help you to move your booking within the same property, offer a voucher to be used within the same property within a year or cancel your booking in this instance and we will refund you the price you paid in full.
