This was our third visit to the Old Carthouse, we had a fantastic time as always. It's a really great place to spend time with friends. The house is beautifully well provided and has everything we need. It's been the perfect base from which to explore a whole variety of places. We spent two lovely days at the beach in Tenby and Saunderfoot. We can't wait to visit again.

Thank you to the housekeeper for a beautifully kept house - so clean and welcoming with fresh flowers and a brilliant welcome basket. We loved Narberth with its interesting shops. The weather was glorious and we went by inflatable boat around Skomer Island to see puffins, kittiwakes, seals and even a porpoise. St David's Cathedral was lovely and Glanna's ice cream even better. Freshwater West is a beautiful beach and Cafe Mor on the car park serves fabulous lobster rolls. Melin Tregwynt is an interesting mill with attached cafe. A wonderful few days in a beautiful country.

A lovely house, very comfortable and warm, very spacious, we loved the board games and garden games. We enjoyed playing cricket and jenga in the sunshine. Shame we did not have better weather for a bbq. We went to The Boar's Head for an evening meal (book in advance), nice meal and small play area for my toddler. Would thoroughly recommend and will definitely come again - we would like to make this an annual event.

We have all enjoyed another fantastic holiday in this idyllic area of Wales - over 5th visit in the last 10 years. The Old Carthouse has given us a truly fabulous and well equipped space - for three generations to explore some of our favourite areas of Pembrokeshire & also discover some new gems. The children's favourite beach is Whitesands where they loved body boarding and we had a beautiful walk along the coastal path to St Davids Head followed by a delicious lunch at St Davids kitchen. A local walk from the house, through the woods to the church and then up to Llawhaden Castle, collecting blackberries on our way was also a firm favourite. We will definitely be back, thank you for the delightful stay.

We had a really lovely stay and think the house is brilliant. Loved Tenby especially when tide is out for sea arch and rock pooling. Good activities for children - trail, brass rubbing, sword fighting and dress up, kite designing. Local castles also a nice walk. Thank you. We'd love to return.

We've had a fabulous week in Llawhaden! Beautiful house and fantastic weather. Lovely exploring the castle and having it ourselves. Folly Farm is a must for families with young children - best place we've been to. Can also recommend the Bush Inn at Robeston Wathen and Chamelis for Indian takeaway. Thank you!

Had a fantastic time. Great location, excellent accommodation. Came for the long course weekend and were pleased with the suitability of the facilities in this house.
We are planning to come again next year for the event and hope to revisit the Old Carthouse. Many thanks for your hospitality.

Had the most amazing week of warm and sunny weather, so spent much time on beaches - Sandy Haven, dale, Pendine Sands and Tenby. The four teenagers loved Oakwood and Blue Lagoon - they went in the evening when crowds were less - no queuing for the flumes! We hired kayaks at Dale for the afternoon - much fun had by all. The house was spotless and accommodated our needs superbly (especially two televisions with Netflix). Barbecued and enjoyed the beautiful gardens too. Would also like to comment on the friendliness of the people of Pembrokeshire - a breath of fresh air!

Had a really fantastic stay in the house, so much space for four people. Everything we needed was here and we really loved our stay. Had some beautiful weather, lots of walks from the house through the woods with the kids down to the church and river and then up to the church path to the castle. Kids loved it and slept well that night! Would love to come back in the summer.

A beautiful house. We have had a lovely long weekend stay. The boys loved it. We had a good day out at the Blue Lagoon and had fish and chips in Tenby after.
We enjoyed having a mini Christmas, the kitchen was brilliantly equipped for this meal. Having the two living rooms was heaven and fitted with the boys wanting the x-box.
We definitely will be coming back in 2016.

A fantastic house with all the space we could wish for in a glorious setting. Loved the beaches - especially Newgate. Blue Lagoon and Folly Farm great for little ones and St Davids is lovely. Narberth has some lovely shops, would recommend Ultracomida for lunch or some treats to bring home and nibble on the terrace. All in all a brilliant holiday.

Very impressed with the house and the area. The house was very well presented, very clean and had everything we needed. We enjoyed the hot tub and meals on the patio and of course the wonderful hamper. We found it really peaceful, hardly heard a soul all week, yet very convenient for the main routes. We covered a lot of miles but it was all worth it. A fabulous coastal walk at Strumble Head (seal watching), loved the city of St Davids, dolphin watching and boat trips at New Quay. A brilliant kayaking tour of Lower Fishguard with Kyak King and wonderful walks across the Presli Mountains and also at Stackpole and Barafindle Bay. Wonderful walks on the footpaths from the house, taking in the castle and sitting by the river by the church. Shops in Narberth nice for a wander round. We used the supermarket here and M&S at Haverfordwest for food. All in all a wonderful week. Thank you.

We loved the house, the space it offered especially outdoors. We had great weather and often had breakfast and dinner alfresco. Beautiful walks along the coastal path and lovely beaches. Tenby, Saundersfoot, Whitesands and Barafindle - some of us even swam in the sea! Had great lunch at Ultracomida in Narbeth, two tapas each more than enough and we loved the shops there. Thank you.

A beautiful house - we had a lovely half term here at the Old Carthouse. Enjoyed lovely days out at St Davids, Newgate Sands, Monkstone Beach (where I enjoyed holidays as a girl) between Saundersfoot and Tenby is well worth a visit, although tricky to access, unspoilt. Enjoyed watching the bats in the evening and the cows are friendly.
