The location is stunning and the cottage is cosy and warm.
Fantastic location, well appointed accommodation.
have been to this particular holiday resort seven times over five years and love it BUT the interior furniture has been changing over the last two years and is not as superior as when we first went, less chairs smaller dining table carpet in lounge quite dirty, but nevertheless we love this gorgeous place as you can tell!
Sherrin is a well-equipped cottage in a wonderfully located area of North Devon. Although the cottage has been fairly recently renovated, there is mold on the bathroom wall and verdigris and mildew on the shower enclosure. Some kitchen items (e.g. pans, glasses) should be replaced or increased. Tenants of the cottages should pay particular attention to the fact that the gates at the beginning of the path to Bull Point, as well as the gate to the lighthouse area, are closed, as stated in the directions from Rural Estates, otherwise hikers will repeatedly enter the area and immediately walk alongside two of Sherrin Cottage's three bedrooms to look at the lighthouse. A clear indication at the gate that this is private property would certainly be helpful, as the existing sign is old and weathered. We had a lovely time in the cottage and were very lucky with the weather.
have stayed here six times- need i say more it is so beautiful BUT must admit it was not as good as usual quite a lot of dishes, mugs and glasses missing it did not matter to us as we were only two but if five stay they may have difficulty.
The holiday was, as in the previous three years, absolutely wonderful, house beautifully clean, weather, twelve days of sunshine but quite a few cleaning items and odds and ends missing which have always been there in the last three years which cost us just under ÂŁ50.00. never mind it was a PERFECT holiday.
Great location. Beautiful walks.
Great communication and support from Rural Retreats when booking and organising holiday. The accommodation was excellent, very clean, well set up for a great stay. We were very happy with Sherrin at Bullpoint and recommend it as a good place to stay and enjoy the delights of North Devon.
Location/accommodation was excellent and so peaceful. Coastal walks either side of lighthouse with amazing views. Would definitely book again!
A beautiful rural location in North Devon. Fabulous views out to sea. South West coastal footpath on your doorstep. Well kitted out house, plenty of space. Difficult narrow lane to access from main road especially with a large car and bikes on the back. Not many pulling in areas so you will have to reverse, busy lane with walkers, thankfully not cars as it's a private road. Stock up on food to take as large shops are not close by. Recycling bins at beginning of drive that belong to the house were overflowing with items from the Campsite sadly. Not possible to recycle items because of this.
Sherrin is a majical retreat and after three visits there I can say it just gets better and better. The views and countryside are wonderful and Rural Retreats staff are kind and so considerate. Thank you for a holiday of a lifetime.
Excellent hidalgo venue. Amazing location, warm and cosy with great views. House very well equipped, spacious, clean and comfortable.
This is a perfect situation for a peaceful holiday with walks on the doorstep. We had a wonderfully peaceful week there. The lane to the property was a slight challenge when we came across walkers who, on the whole, were very good natured about finding somewhere to stand to enable us to pass them safely. There are very few passing places but only holiday cottage cars and the occasional National Trust van to negotiate. We only came across this problem on one occasion in the week. The property is in need of some minor maintenance work, but that aside it was comfortable, clean and spacious. The welcome pack was generous and practical. Being able to eat outside with far reaching views, sunsets and star filled skies at night was glorious.
Lovely location and property
Really Happy with our stay at Sherrin, very clean and well equipped bungalow....our only moan is we wished we had stayed for longer!!!!
We received what we expected, clean and comfortable, pity about the weather!
The cottage and location was absolutely amazing. Its the second time we have been there and will definitely be going back.
Lovely position. Well equiped bungalow. Minor things:- Tin opener not working and kitchen knives need sharpening. Another couple of small/medium size saucepans would be useful We do feel you should inform potential holiday makers about the 1.2 mile single track potholed road with no passing places! Not good for 80 year old nerves !
We had a lovely stay the accommodation was beautiful and unique lots of walks to do and a few lovely towns not far at all and lots of dog friendly things to do too
