Beautiful little cottage - perfect for a relaxing couple’s break, super well equipped for cookery, logs and matches ready for the fire, within walking distance of good local pubs and driving distance to a couple of really good eateries. Very friendly, helpful owners, who gave us a wonderful welcome with a personalised note and excellent t local produce, also made the whole experience very easy and pleasant - thank you!

The Welcome Hamper was wonderful, especially the Prosecco and the cheese. It happened to be my husband’s birthday and we appreciated that we didn’t have to go out. Please note that several cottages in your portfolio we have been to are not providing wine which is what we thought is the standard? The last cottage was a cheap low alcohol wine and our current cottage there was no wine. The cottage was full of character with a pretty sunroom. Lots of firewood. The kitchen was good although the coating on the pans were scratched and need to be replaced so we couldn’t use them to scramble the eggs as they are not safe. The village is charming and our experience was delightful.

This cottage is a superb place to stay. Full of character and beautifully furnished with fascinating interior decorations. There was a comprehensive range of equipment and generous supplies on arrival. For us, it provided the perfect break, its location allowing easy trips to a wide range of places in Herefordshire. Our short stay coincided with a heatwave and we were pleased at how cool the ancient property remained whist its gorgeous series of small gardens, filled with roses and honeysuckle, were a great place to relax. We ate out a few times and concluded that one of the very best eateries in the whole region is the one just 5 mins down the road from Pembridge (The Cider Barn - superb cooking and atmosphere). Similarly, one of the loveliest gardens is also just down the A44 (Westonbury Mill Water Gardens). So this cottage is in a great position and also surrounded by amazing old black & white houses in Pembridge village.
