Lovely, clean & quiet barn. The welcome hamper was both nice and useful.
Lovely cottage in a lovely setting. It was very clean. Just a couple of little things that stopped it being 5 stars... we thought there might be some bits in the fridge (maybe milk and cheese would be nice?), there was only one match, and the outside lights didn’t work.
Cherrystone Barn is one of those special places where you instantly refresh, relax and rejuvenate. Quirky and romantic with clever use of space and stunning views from every side, it is somewhere you feel at home. We spent most of our time there, enjoying the treats in the welcome hamper, cosying up by the log burner, unwinding in the hot tub and letting our dog run free in the field. If you do wish to venture out, there are walks galore, a farm shop with high quality produce and plenty of historic sites to explore. It is somewhere we most definitely will return to.
Cherrystone Barn was a delight - fantastic setting in the lovely Sussex countryside, beautifully appointed and very comfortable. Thank you Debbie and Lisa!
Peaceful and tranquil location suitable for visiting a lot of East Sussex. Cottage very clean and tidy with a generous welcome hamper provided. Fireside rug needed a better hoover and clean. Woodburner is too small for the property can’t possibly warm the open plan space. Very adequate fire wood etc. but no matches to be found.
Absolutely lovely place to stay. So clean everything you need to a great breakaway
A beautiful cottage in a lovely location. Would have been 5 stars, but we were unaware of the grape vines on the patio - one of the dogs ate a handful necessitating a trip to the vets and a £300 bill - grapes are toxic for dogs and this should be made clear on Rural Retreats website to alert dog owners when booking.
Excellent accommodation very well appointed garden and outer field safe for our dog. This was our seventh visit!
First class accommodation and first class location. Village shop an absolute treasure.
