Excellent cottage location if you like being remote with views to die for. The track up to the cottage is very steep and uneven and I wouldn't like to negotiate it in a low car. The is a popular viewpoint a short walk away up a steep hill, though we did find that this resulted in people wandering through the grounds to try and reach it. Maybe a "Private" sign would be helpful. There is a well stocked Mace and Londis about a mile away for essentials and shops in Fishguard for other supplies which is about 10 minutes drive. The cottage itself, although having everything you need is a little tired and dated, especially the bathroom and the mattresses which are quite hard and uncomfortable. Some modernisation would be beneficial if the premium prices are continued to be charged. Luckily we had beautiful weather so spent most of our time outside enjoying the views. However, the pictures on the website are a little misleading as there is an electricity pylon that is in view and not in the photos and trees have been planted that are starting to obscure part of view which will get worse as they grow. Having said that, the view is still amazing and it's nice to be able to wake up to the sight of the sea from your bed. The welcome hamper, although appreciated, did not contain all the stated items i.e. cheese, eggs and marmalade.

We recently stayed at Rhiwelli. The cottage is lovely and so well equipped plus the view never disappointed even on an overcast day. Rex, the owner, was very nice and immediately sorted a minor issue when called. There was a lot to do in the area and within in easy travel of the cottage although some of our best memories were just sitting with a glass of wine watching the sun go down. We are so pleased that we chose this property for our break and wouldn't hesitate to return if we chose to visit the North Pembrokeshire again.

Rhiwelli is situated on a hill with the most beautiful views out to sea. The house itself has some lovely spaces to relax in: a small conservatory to catch the sun (even in February!), a mezzanine floor for reading or working at the desk (if you have to) and a sitting area with a wood burner and sofas. It's warm and comfortable with good-sized bedrooms and a well-equipped kitchen. There is also a utility room separate to the main building. It's an ideal location for walking: Newport is possible along the coast path. At the top of the garden is a viewpoint and tracks leading across moorland with views across to Fishguard harbour, Dinas Head and Newport. Not much nightlife but the house is so nice you don't really want to go out!

Rhiwelli is a lovely cottage and we really enjoyed our week's stay. The cottage is charming, beautifully decorated and furnished, well equipped(flat screen TV with internet) and has the most amazing panoramic views of the Pembrokeshire coast. Every night we sat outside watching the incredible sunsets, we had glorious weather. A tawny owl came and joined us, the garden was full of wild flowers and sheltered. We also enjoyed exploring Pembrokeshire, especially the boat trips to Skomer(to see the puffins) and Ramsay Islands. We walked the coast path round Dinas Head and to Newport the nearest town which had lots of nice shops and restaurants. St Davids was another highlight and we also liked the wildlife centre at Cardigan. There was so much to see and do, good places to eat, shopping was easy too, the local Mace store was very handy. Rex made us very welcome and was on hand if we had needed anything but everything worked well.
