At Rural Retreats, every property in our portfolio is handpicked to ensure guests experience exceptional comfort, character and luxury. Among our most unique stays is the magnificent Weston Park — an extraordinary country estate set within 1,000 acres of breathtaking Shropshire parkland.
Landscaped by the legendary Capability Brown, Weston Park offers sweeping vistas, tranquil lakes, scenic footpaths and ancient woodland. It’s one of the finest examples of an 18th-century landscaped estate in the UK and an unforgettable destination for a luxury countryside escape.
While the main house and gardens are open to the public at select times of year, guests staying in one of five exclusive holiday properties enjoy privileged access to the estate’s deer park, Temple Wood, formal gardens, walled garden and visitor areas.
So, where can you stay?

The main house at Weston Park is an impressive venue for large gatherings and special occasions. Accommodating up to 54 guests across 24 en suite bedrooms, this stately home overlooks formal gardens and expansive parkland.
Perfect for weddings, milestone celebrations and corporate retreats, guests can enjoy award-winning cuisine and a fully staffed service.
Bequeathed by the 7th Earl of Bradford in 1986, the estate is now protected by the National Heritage Memorial Fund and the Weston Park Foundation, ensuring its preservation for generations to come.

Originally built in the 1760s as a garden building and orangery, the Temple of Diana now offers a distinctive and charming holiday cottage for up to six guests.
Located on the edge of Temple Wood, this historic property features a stunning three-bay glazed dining area (formerly the orangery) and a circular sitting room that once served as a tea room. It’s ideal for families seeking a memorable stay in the Shropshire countryside.

If you’re searching for a romantic getaway in Shropshire, The Knoll Tower is a beautifully restored former Victorian hunting lodge set over three floors.
Situated on the far side of the estate, this picturesque retreat includes a private roof terrace with panoramic parkland views and immediate access to scenic walks. It’s a peaceful and characterful escape designed for two.

Once part of the estate’s working gardens, The Potting Shed has been refurbished to an exceptional standard with bright, contemporary interiors.
Guests enter through large glazed doors into an open-plan living space, complete with a luxurious en-suite bath designed for two. The property offers easy access to the historic walled garden and the on-site Granary Grill, as well as a hidden door leading directly into the estate grounds.

Adjacent to The Potting Shed, The Gardener’s Bothy is another intimate retreat for two guests. Featuring exposed brickwork, warm country styling and a spacious open-plan living area, it offers comfort and charm in equal measure.
Both the Bothy and The Potting Shed include wood-burning stoves, making them perfect for cosy stays throughout the year.

Added to the main house in 1866 by the 3rd Earl, The Victorian Wing was originally built to provide lavish guest accommodation. Today, it blends its aristocratic heritage with contemporary interiors, creating a luxury getaway like no other for up to ten guests.
The south-facing bedrooms, once designed to impress distinguished visitors, remain spacious and elegant. Meanwhile, the former servants’ quarters have been transformed into stylish living spaces.

Tucked away in the depths of Temple Wood, Pink Cottage is one of the most enchanting romantic cottages in Shropshire. Sleeping two guests, this charming single-storey retreat is ideal for couples seeking peace, privacy and countryside luxury.
Outside, guests can relax on the patio during warm summer evenings or enjoy the large private garden surrounded by woodland. With 1,000 acres of Capability Brown parkland on your doorstep, it’s the perfect romantic countryside escape.
